Here it is, plain and simple...the Gospel Message...

For one, lemme ask you this, do you believe that you sin? if you're answer is "yes", then you're off to a great start. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"--Romans 3:23. "For the wages of sin is *death* but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"--Romans 6:23. In other words, we deserve Hell because sin=devil=Hell. BUT if you read John 3:16, it states "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever *believeth* in him, shall not *perish* but have *everlasting life*"--John 3:16. Jesus died on the cross for OUR sins. Thats right, he died for you, me, and even the people that live in Austria, India, the Czech Republic...EVERYWHERE!! He died so that we have an oppurtunity to go to heaven and spend eternity with him!! As it states in John 3:16, all we have to do is *believe* in God, and we are going to heaven, or in other words, we're saved! We're saved from sin!! You have to believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day. He died to take away our sins, we all deserve Hell but because of him dying for us, it takes simple believing in him and we are able to live the rest of our lives with him in Heaven. You also have to believe that you are a sinner and that you deserve Hell! Once you are saved, you need to grow in the Lord, you are changed, re--newed, or re--born. You are starting over with your life, so start it off on a good note, get to know the Lord one-on-one!! It's awesome to have him in your life, once you believe in him, good works come from that. If you want to get baptized, you are following God, he's an example for you and you are following him. You do NOT have to get baptized to become saved. Once you believe in God, you are able to ask him for forgiveness. EVERYBODY SINS!! But if you ask for forgiveness, he'll forgive you!!! It's as easy as that!! Once you believe, you can say a little prayer. The prayer does NOT save you, it's your belieth the does!! The prayer is just lettin the Lord know that you want to be his, you want to turn your life over to him, you believe in the ressurection (died, burial and rising). You can say this prayer in your heart:
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe in you Lord, I know that I needed a Savior, someone to save me from Everlasting HELL. I believe that you died on the cross for My sins, lord! I believe you were buried and rose again on the 3rd day. I believe in you,Lord. I need you, Lord, please just come into my life. Amen.
"Right after the draft, my brother and his wife were in town and the whole family went to church. After the sermon, thats' when it hit me. I think that was God's plan all along. It was his timing that I accepted Christ just as I was about to leave for L.A. and the N.B.A."

"My mother was a big influence on me when I was younger, and even now. We always went to church each Sunday. Being from the South, that was just part of growing up. But I have to say that early in my life, I didn't have a real understanding about Christ. All the way through high school, I never really got to know Christ one-on-one."

"My belief in God keeps me strong when we've lost a game or the circumstances are bad and it seems like it is the end of the world. You go home, get a good night's sleep, wake up, and thank the Lord for blessing you with another day. He allows you to keep going."

"I play by faith and I have no doubt that God has touched my life and that of everyone on my team. I always play in the name of God"

"I always tell young people that God has a plan for everyone no matter who you are or where you come from. I always tell them if they believe in themselves and believe that anything is possible, then the life that God has planned for them will reveal itself."

Fisher wears his "faith" around his wrists-- both on, and off, the court. He wears a laker purple cloth bracelet on each wrist taht says "W.W.J.D." for "What would Jesus do?" He says that in the competitive world of professional sports, every time he looks at those bracelets, he's reminded for whom he's really playing. He also represents his team by wearing white, yellow, purple and an NBA headband.
