In November 2002, Kobe was on "Diary",, an MTV series about celebrities and the life they live.
He went to the Great Wall of China. Kids were playing basketball on the Great Wall and Kobe was the judge for a slam dunk contest. After he judged, he got to show the crowd some of his great slam dunks. He missed Vanessa while he was there. After that he had a traditional chinese dinner down at a restaurant. There was a bunch of animals in cages and what you had to do is pick out which of those animals you wanted to eat. He chose to eat duck. He also tried using chopsticks but decided to stick with a fork. His securities were the ones who did a test taste of a snake before Kobe ate it. Kobe ended up not eating it but his securities starting munching it down, at least one of them did. The other one did not like it that much. On August 15, He was still in China and he decided to explore the houses and stuff. The houses looked fake. He talked about how he came to the NBA when he was 17 years old and is staying in the NBA until he is 30 years old when he is retiring, he will retired for good. "There's no resting until I get it done". He did weights. Kobe kicked around a soccer ball with this 8 year old (Kobe's favorite number) boy named Antonio. They played soccer in the middle of the street. On October 24, Kobe says he is just a normal cat. He goes shopping at the grocery store and talks to these guys who are Celtics fans. Kobe replies "Oh, I am sorry". haha. Kobe looks at sports magazines when he is done paying for his stuff and sees Shaq. He is on his way home back to L.A. and calls up Vanessa to tell her ( He uses alot of words for her like: Princess, Mama Bear and V). He finally arrives home and just relaxes on his couch. He changes the t.v. channels to find Michael Jordan playing. He is happy Michael is coming back. On October 30, he is really excited for the beginning of the season. He is ready for a 3rd (championship). Both Vanessa and Kobe have alot of energy and Kobe thinks his kids are going to have alot of energy as well. They recieve championship rings and then he replies "Im gone". |
