Howdy, Folks.

Back and Ready to Giv'er...

O September 20/2005 Alright, people, it's finally here. City Mountains is out there. Finished. Took a long while for an album that was cut 'almost live' to be born, but here it is. Alrighty-then. What's next??

O June 14/2005 -- Summer Now... Ok, drums in a week. Release date by August. Gotta Pour a drink. Working at the 'Highlander Wine and Spirits'

O Dec 12/2004 -- Yeah, its been a while, but things have been going along swimmingly. I've been working at the James Joyce Irish Pub downtown, and I moved into a modest basement suite in Bridgeland with my sweety. Anywhoo, the drums are almost done, just a few more adjustments to make and the album will be finished. 12 Tracks of new material, and only a year in the making! What a time its been. Merry Christmas!

O Nov 25/2004 -- Sigh. How could more than half the United States of America be so mutherfucking dumb? 4 more years of BushWhacking - God help us all.

O July 8/2004 -- In between jobs and liking it just fine... Drums ready to go in a few short days. There are two tracks I just can't seem to tweak to my satisfaction, and they might just require scrapping. I have a few new songs to add to the list, too. The two summer albums are now going to be merged into one concept album: City/Country. All hard blues on one side, a segway number and then all my accoustic material with Mariah on the other side. Should be about 18-or-so songs when I'm finally done. Played a show at Nellies in Marda Loop to mostly empty tables, but it was a shitty day outside...

O Mar 27/2004 -- Practicing daily with the 'Greene Machine', and we've decided to 'liven' up the sound of the album by using a mixboard to recording source. This will give us more inputs and hopefully improve on the drum sounds, which have eluded us till now. Instead of track-by-track overdubbing, we've decided to scrap what we've done and just get everything tight and then lay the entire album in 7 or 8 days. I've also purchased a Line 6 amplifier and have had a great time rendering myself legally deaf. The finish date stands. Miss Mennie is in France, and she is creating the piano for the summer album, much to my delight.

O Feb 20/2004 -- Yes, Tumor now has a job. If you want to come see the Casual Observer be a booze robot, come down to the Bull & Finch in Bonavista. Other than that, four songs are on the verge of completion (99 Days, I Want You to Listen, Ride on Back, High Risk Behavior) and there's two more that are embryonic at the moment. Look for a release date in Spring 04'. If you have any suggestions for cover art or album titles, click on 'Contact' in the menu screen...

O Feb 10/2004 -- New updates on the soon-to-be-released album... This one's gonna be a rocker, dude. I've hooked up again with the Greene Machine (of NVS fame), and now we're working on a White Strip'esque hard blues album. I've picked up a used Les Paul and I'm learning how to thrash out. It's good to take a break from the folk and make some noise for a change.

Second New Album in the Beginning Stages...

Now, I already have one Blues album on my plate, but why stop there? Mariah Mennie and I are tossing around the release of another album in Summer 04, that will be primarily a folk (single guitar with piano and djembe acc.) album. I am fuckin' stoked about this. I have 4 new songs on the go and more arriving in my head daily. This album is going to be killer. Trust me. I've been experimenting with Nick Drake's CGCFCE tuning, and I gotta tell you, it's really conducive to writing some beautifully melancholy songs.
