Jim grew up without a dad, but his Grampa was always around when he was growing up. When he started school he always kept on him about his grades, Jim always did well in school & his Grampa knew that but, he kept telling him you have to do good in school. I`m pretty sure my dad was proud of how well Jim did not only in school but with football, track, & baseball, my Dad was there for most of what he did, cheering him on. I remember when Jim played a few football games where Grampa could practicaly be on the field with him, he walked the side lines when the ball would move so would Grampa, he walked the sidelines the whole game telling Jim "lets go James Byron" . Jim loved it, When Jim played, he didn`t look to see if I was there he`d look for his Grampa & when he didn`t find him he`d just listen then he`d here him when it got quiet "lets go James Byron" he knew he was there, it was the same for track & baseball. They were asked in school to write a paper on the person they looked up to the most Jim wrote his on his Grampa, My Dad was Jim`s biggest fan & if Jim were here today he would tell you his Grampa was & always will be his hero.
