SURFING THE NET
We
have heard the term "surf" the net various times. "Surfing"
the net simply means
browsing web pages. It is as term used to describe browsing online from one
web
site to another.
First of al, to browse the Internet one needs a "Browser". A Browser
is software which
converts the Internet's language (HTML) into a more understandable language.
By
default this language is English. In order to access a website, a user has to
type in the
URL (Uniform Resource Locater) or the address of the website in the address
bar of
the browser.
There is a difference between a webpage and a website. A webpage is a single
page
of the Website and the website is a collection of all such webpages.
