| THE IOWA ROCKING FOX TROTTER TRAIL RIDING CLUB IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 1997 by A SMALL GROUP OF FAMILIES WHO WANTED TO GET TOGETHER AND RIDE WITH OTHER GAITED HORSES IN IOWA. OUR CLUB HAS GROWN TO NEARLY 100 FAMILIES FROM PEOPLE ALL OVER IOWA, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEBRASKA AND SOUTH DAKOTA. THE BOND THAT BRINGS US TOGETHER IS THE LOVE OF TRAIL RIDING, CAMPING AND THE PASSION WE HAVE FOR OUR SMOOTH GAITED HORSES. OUR CLUB RIDES ARE HELD IN PARKS ALL OVER IOWA, MISSOURI, MINNESOTA, AND WISCONSIN. SOME PARKS WE FREQUENT INCLUDE BRUSHY CREEK, ELK ROCK, ROCK CREEK, YELLOW RIVER, STEPHENS FOREST, GARST FARMS, POOSEY PARK AND MANY OTHER WONDERFUL SITES. WE ALSO HOST MANY DAY RIDES. WE ARE PRIMARILY A GAITED HORSE CLUB, HOWEVER, WE WELCOME ALL BREEDS AND RIDERS. IN ADDITION TO OUR SCHEDULED TRAIL RIDES EACH YEAR, WE PARTICIPATE IN THE ANNUAL IOWA HORSE FAIR, PARADES, CLINICS, AND FUN SHOWS. WE END OUR SEASON EACH YEAR WITH A CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY. HAPPY TRAILS! |
