Before I could read comic books, I watched the "Man Of Steel" beat the bad guys each week. George Reeves was Superman/Clark Kent. He would work at the Daily Planet with Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson and Perry White as Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter. But whenever someone was in trouble he would  rip off his shirt and turn into Superman.
