These are the first impressions of the Golf V, which will be officially introduced at the IAA in September 2003

1.9 TDI - 100hp 1.6 FSI - 110hp
2.0 TDI - 136hp 2.0 FSI - 136hp
2.5 V5 TDI - 175hp 2.0 T FSI - 170hp
3.2 V6 FSI - 230hp
The FSI stands for Direct Fuel Injection. The 1.6 - 110hp is in germany already available in the Golf IV/Bora.
About the diesel engines it can be expected that they will further be optimized on torque, as the new Golf will be again increase in size and weight and to differentiate better from the new Polo IV. Therefore the specifications and performance will only slightly difference from the current models.
Totally new is the 2.5 V5 TDI with 175hp. This model will have standard the "4-Motion" all wheel drive.
