| Moulin Rouge |
| Moulin Rouge. You either love it or you hate it. If you hate it, you are dumb. If you love it, you are correct. It is a musical. I'd been saying for years that I needed a musical and then came Moulin Rouge. I was so happy. This movie is a really good movie for me because I have the attention span of a three-year-old. The story is a little boring and trite and stupid but any time you think that, a song starts and waiters start dancing and the moon starts singing. It's amazing. What some people love and some people hate about this movie is that even though it takes place in 1900 Paris, there are parts of songs by Elton John, Madonna, and the Beatles. I guess that's Baz Luhrmann's thing. Yes, this was directed by the same person who directed Romeo and Juliet circa 1998. And I would venture to say the same people who loved Romeo and Juliet would love Moulin Rouge. The reason there are no quotes for this movie is because the story really blows. What I like about the movie is the songs and the dances and the pretty colors. You should see this movie. If you don't like it, I understand why: you are probably a streight male. If you are a straight male and you do like it, Hi Randy. |
