"When shit brings you down just say 'fuck it' and eat yourself some fucking candy"  Paul Sedaris

I don't know who invented the template for the standard writing workshop, but whoever it was seems to have struck the perfect balance between sadism and masochism.

"I can't promise I'll never kill anyone ever again.  It's unrealistic to live your life within such strict paramaters."  Richie

Review

The day or two before I went to California for a week to see my family I never see I was trying to find a book to entertain me while I was there.  I had gotten a couple books but neither of them were really what I was looking for.

I decided the night before I left that I would just take the chance with the books I had.

Then, I got to the airport and my dad was looking for some book to give his dad for chrismtas when sitting on the bookshelf was Me Talk Pretty One Day by Davis Sedaris.  I remembered the name Davis Sedaris from Christmas On Ice, and I liked that book.  So I bought it.  And it was really good.

I think it's autobiographical, but I think all of David Sedaris's stuff is.  Half of the book takes place in america, and it's like, the first thirty year's of this guy's life.  The second have is the couple years of his life that he spent in France and I really don't know which part I like more.

I was definitely caught laughing out loud by myself at this book.  Well worth the embarassment.  Read this book.  Also read his other stuff.
