| So here I am, updating. I wrote this down at work on Friday, so I will show it to you now: In my classroom there's a poster that says "When I grow up I want to be..." and then it lists several professions. Well it doesn't actually list them, it pictures them with kids in the vairious dress clothes. Farmer, Astronaut, Nurse, Doctor, Construction Worker, Teacher, Firefighter, Veteranarian, Police Officer, Chef, Pilot and Paramedic. I looked at this poster and I thought about what my parents and my friends' parents do. Howard is a teacher, and Robby's dad is a pilot, and there are doctors here and there, but generally, the jobs on that poster are unrealistic. Most of these kids, no matter what they actually want to be, will likely end up behind a desk, most likely in a cubicle. Not a sermon, just a thought. This weekend Cathy and Laura and Elisa and I had a girls night in. It was really cool. We should do that more often. Keith, I don't come over because it's far and basically that's the only reason. Also I work and go to school and do both at the same time. I had a dream where my room was really clean so I have to clean up my room for real. Also I'm taking my camera to work today to take pictures of my kids, because sometimes they're just so beautiful. And prom is friday and I really want these shoes. Also I got the Cadillac and I need to wax it but Nidhi has to call me first because I don't know how to do it. |
