The song above is the story that I would like to tell you. I ended my update yesterday saying that Randy and I were going to see Insomnia. Well I got to his apartment and I said to him "Do you want to come with me to get my belly button pierced?" And he was like "uhh..." and he didn't really know what to say. So we went to Comes A Time and I was like "I want to pierce my belly button." So I signed the papers and blah blah blah so I'm lying on that chair thing that they have at doctor's offices. And the guy (Alex) that was piercing me took these tools out of this box. And I went "is that what dentists use?" and he was like "yeah." Until yesterday, I thought that dentists used new tools every single visit. Oh how disillusioned am I. So he's looking at my bellybutton and pinching it or whatever and he sings that song (above). I went "did you just make that up?" and he was like "yeah" and I was like "that's really good." He is piercing the belly, and that is his job. If he were a farmer, his job would be to plant seeds. Also it's like he's planting this seed in me (the ring). I thought it was cool. Did it hurt? Yes. Did it hurt a lot? No. And it didn't bleed. I didn't think it would. Even though Laura said it would. I think I just don't bleed. I know it didn't bleed because Randy was watching. He told me so. I think it looks really cool.
So the rest of my day consisted of drinking. I drank too much. For the first time in a while, I drank too much. See, the more I drank, the less my tummy hurt. You know how in the olden days, people would go to get teeth pulled and they'd drink whiskey to dull the pain. That was my philosophy. Except I dont' drink whiskey.
So I woke up this morning and I felt awful. So I stayed at Randy's most of the day. I actually got a lot of work done. More work, I suspect, than I would have gotten done at home.
So here I am. With a pierced belly button. I'll see Y'all later. |
