| Using A Caring Question As A Greeting: Monday, February 25, 2002 12:27pm | ||||||
| Okay, I know I wouldn't hate this as much if I weren't around it so much, but still. There are many people, who, instead of saying "hello" will say "how are you" or "how ya doin'?" Now, I say things like this all the time...to people I care about. When I want to know how someone is or how they are doing, I ask, but I doubt any of the people who asked me yesterday How I Was Doing actually cared. I think this because they left before I could answer them. And they knew they didn't have enough time to find out how I was, because they were bothering me earlier about how their movie was starting soon and how badly they wanted to get popcorn and sodas. That was before they complained about the HIGH PRICE and LARGE SIZE. But I digress. Do not ask how someone is if you do not care. It simply doesn't matter. I understand that it is simply a greeting but using it as a greeting makes it mean less when someone actually cares. Besides, what's wrong with "hello."? | ||||||
