Weird things really do happen to me.

So I was all ready to go to work yesterday at 5:30.  I was just about to walk out the door when my phone rang and it was Randy calling.  I told him I was going off to work and he sounded all upset becuse he was planning on leaving somewhat early tomorrow (today).  So I decided I would try to get someone to take my shift at the last minute.  I called everyone who wasn't working (by the way, Michael Shwartz's father sounds exactly like Michael Shwartz) and no one could take my shift.  So I asked Dexter (who works every weekday afternoon) if he would take my shift.  He asked why and I told him that my boyfriend was in town and he would only be here for tonight (last night).  I told him I would take his shift next friday and I would make him cookies and he said, i'm not kidding, "how about instead of taking my shift friday you let me take you out on a date."  Um.  I was like, :"my BOYFRIEND" is coming.  I decided that no matter what, Dexter was going to take my shift, but that doesnt' mean I have to go out on a date.  And it's not a personal thing, I just don't date.  So Dexter took my shift and I got to hang out with Randy all night.  Yay.

Isn't that weird though?  I don't want to go on a date with Dexter, even though he is nice and cute and interesting and whatever else good things he is I simply don't go on dates with people.  Okay so we'll see.

I had more for you but that whole situation last night sort of drained me of anything interesting and just left me wondering if i'm starting a weird period in my life.  Full of "m" floors and cathy raking banana peels and getting people to take my shift in exchange for a "date."

I guess I'll just have to find out.

Oh, and whoever sent me a "secret admirer" e-card:  that's not cute, it's just annoying.  And I know it's one of you people who read this.  I still love you I just dont' like things like that.
