The Gemini Build

So, being a panel beater by trade, naturally dad focuses pretty heavily on body mods. That's where we started too. Each panel was stripped with a chemical stripper one by one. After it was stripped, the mods were carried out, and the panel finished. Then we would start the next one. This avoids losing where you are at with the car and keeps inconsistencies to a minimum.

First we started with the rear of the car.
The first we had to do was remove the old tow bar. Seized bolts didn't help so out came the trusty angle grinder. The rear pan was smoothed over.
Note: the custom rear number plate housing. All the seams on the body were welded, ground and then filled for a smooth seamless finish.
The absence of a working gas strut meant playing Russian Roulette with a garden stake on the tailgate. The side window pillar has just been cut out in this shot too.
