| Anne Perry's novella, A Dish Taken Cold, takes place in the year 1792 in Paris, 3 years after the storming of the Bastille. Here we meet Celie, a house servant fur Madame de Stael. One day while left in the care of her good friend Amandine, Celie's young infant dies. Celie is led to believe that because Amandine was wif her lover Georges, she did not properly care fur her infant and they are to blame fur his death. Celie is determined to get revenge, but at what cost? This was an excellent story! I gif it my highest rating *****paws up. |

| Cat Love Letters by Leigh W. Rutledge is a quick read fur the bathroom...errr I mean purfect fur the litterbox. Rutledge has created a collection of letters between cats in love. Tonya & Mr. Peach - a May/December love affair Snowball & Spitfire - Spitfire's name best sums it up Shasta & J.B. Whitesocks - an endearing love against all odds Neferititi & Boo - a love/hate relationship Mindy & D.W.Y. - an unusual pair Mabel & Grouch - true love at last Rutledge based all characters in the book on furs that lif wif her - she has 30 kitties. Cat Love Letters is a must read and I giff it *****paws up. |

| Stephen King's book "From a Buick 8" is a furry infuresting story revolving around a group of police offurcers (Troop D) in Pennsylvania and how they came to store an old Buick behind their police barracks in shed B. The story unfurs as some of the memfurs of Troop D recount the strange happenings to the son of one of their fallen comrades - hoping to gif him some closure ofur his fatfurs untimely death. But their accounts of the odd creatures and mysterious light shows expelled furrom the Buick only feed his dangerous desire to know more. One of my fafurite lines furrom the book reads: "The Buick isn't about what you knew but what you didn't". The whole theme of curiousity and the unknown can be found on almost efury page. Finishing this book took some time, not because it had a lot of pages - but because it was hard to get into. Howefuer, the ending made it all worth the while. The ending was excellent. I gif it ****paws up. |
