This book has some wonderpurr ideas in calming your baby. I recommend this book to every new mom. I give it *****paws.

What a wondepurr book! The Contented Little Baby Book is my bible. This book shows you how to set good sleep patterns that set your little baby down the path to contentment.
I highly recommend this book to any new moms! I give it *****paws.

Infant Massage by Vimala McClure is a wonderpurr book. It shows you how to make your little baby feel secure and loved through touch. With detailed instructions and pictures you can become an expert at soothing, healing, or just making your baby feel good. This book has really come in handy, especially since our baby has a touch of Colic. There is even a chapter for fathers, which I think is great because alot of books leave out the daddies.
I highly recommend this book. I give it *****paws.

These two books, What to Expect When Expecting, and What to Expect the First Year, are a big help when pregnant and after your child is born. Each book lets you know month by month what to expect. The What to Expect When Expecting explains to you in detail what your body is going through and the latter explains to you in detail what your child's body is going through.
Both of these books should be a staple in your library when you are with child.
I give them *****paws.

The What to Eat When Expecting book gives you insight into what you should be eating while pregnant. This book also gives you recipes that make sure you are getting the maximum amount of nutrients. It also shows you which foods to avoid...swordfish, sushi, undercooked eggs, etc.
This book is helpful but there is a chapter about what to eat in the What to Expect When Expecting book.
I give it ***paws.

K.I.S.S.(Keep it Simple)Guide to Pregnancy is another book I read while waiting for the Brycemeister to come along. This book gives you detailed descriptions on what is going on with your pregnant body...it also has color pictures of how your baby is developing.
I really liked this book. It was easy to follow and was divided into the different trimesters and postpartum.
I give it *****paws.

While waiting for baby it is important to exercise...conditioning your body for labor makes it soooo much easier. So i decided to try out Yoga, and the book Yoga for Pregnancy was purrfect. With detailed instructions and pictures I became a pro in no time. And a person at any stage can find what works for them whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
I give this book *****paws up.

These two books The Everything Get Ready For Baby Book, and The Everything Baby Name Bookare quite interesting. The Get Ready For Baby Book is not as good as the What to Expect When Expecting book, but when I was pregnant I read anything and everything I could get my hands on. There are some interesting tid-bits about baby lore and old wives tales...different ways to tell the sex of the baby. The latter, was an absolute waste of money. The baby names book had your run of the mill baby names...nothing exotic or different...very boring.
I give both of these books **paws.

Baby Names Now is a big thick book with a lot of baby names and their meanings. I loved this book, it had every name imaginable. This book even had Zeplin (Zeppelin) which we chose for a middle name.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is with child and is picking out a name.
I give it *****paws.

What can I say? I am a HUGE Hercule Poirot fan! I can't get enough of this colorful Belgian detective created by Agatha Christie. A&E always has Poirot specials on T.V. and I love reading about his cases.
This book, Poirot Investigates, contains fourteen Poirot mysteries, ranging from country house murders to an adventure in an Egyptian tomb. A few of my favorite selections are: "The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb", "The Case of the Missing Will", and "The Veiled Lady".
Each mystery leaves you wanting more of the famous Hercule Poirot!
I give this book *****paws up!

Tolkien captures the magic of Bilbo Baggins and his adventures beautifully. I fell in love with Bilbo and all of the characters (even Gollum the sneaky snake-like creature)...how could I not?
I do not want to give too much away...but I will tell you this...this book is a must! It should be a staple in your library...at least read it once. I know that I will be reading this book over and over again years to come!
Also, this book is a wonderful prelude toThe Lord of the Rings trilogy. I cannot wait to start on those next...
I give The Hobbit my highest rating *****paws up.

The story centers around the Manette family and follows through France and England. Doctor Manette is "recalled to life" when his daughter Lucie and Mr. Lorry from Tellson's Bank bring him back to England after an 18 year prison term in the Bastille. Dickens introduces an assortment of characters: the Defarges, Syndey Carton, and Charles Darney, just to name a few. Each character becomes intertwined with one another as the story progresses through the bloody French Revolution. Dickens captures this era with all the angst and horror one could possibly imagine - the viscious Carmagnole with their red blood caps screaming "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, or Death" in the streets of Paris and the rural villages such as St. Antoines leaves an imagine in your mind that you cannot forget.
One of the characters in particular, Syndey Carton, has left an ever going impression on me that i will not soon forget. I especially empathized with him. At first, he came across as a selfish you know what, but as Tale progressed my heart actually broke as I felt his pain and sadness. Dickens really brought it straight to my soul. And Sydney's part in the whole outcome of the book makes you realize that their are true heros out there.
This book really surprised me as I said in the beginning. The ending made me cry for joy and at the same time I wept in sadness. A Tale of Two Cities was beautifully written...I recommend this book with ****paws up
The Wild Road introduces us to the cat Tag, whose destiny is to destroy the wicked Alchmeist by finding the King and Queen of cats. As Tag follows the Magicou's lead into the Wild Roads in search of the King and Queen he meets a wide variety of characters/animals. These characters include the calico Sealink and her partner MouseBreath, a fox who Loves a Dustbin, a bird called One For Sorrow, and who could forget the lovable Cy.
The Golden Cat picks up where The Wild Road left off and answers any leftover questions you have.
I don't want to give too much information on these books because I don't want to give anything away...it's better if you pick up a copy for yourself and start reading immediately!!
Both books are a must...I give them *****paws up!

I give it *****paws up!! - Definately a staple in English Literature.

As everyone in the city prepares for the Highland Games, a visiting jewelry dealer is murdered in his hotel room. Soon afterwards, the local caber-tossing hero is nowhere to be found. Koko and YumYum are on the case and try to give Qwilleran all the hints he needs to solve the mystery.
I definitely see why there is so much buzz surrounding Braun's cat mysteries, I could not put this book down. As I was reading, I could actually picture this cute little city with of all its residents going about their business. One of my favorite passages from the book is Qwilleran's library description: His first stop was the public library, known as the information center of the county - not because of its extensive book collection and expensive computer system but because it was the hub of the Pickax grapevine. In moments of crisis its subscribers flocked to the library to exchange questions, hearsay, and rash guesses, all of which would be circulated throughout the county by phone, in coffee shops, and on street corners. It was a traditional system that worked - for better or worse.
I cannot wait to read another cat mystery by Braun. I give this one *****paws up!!

In Alice Hoffman's book Practical Magic, we enter an enchanting world filled with dreams, magic and a little bit of danger. Through Hoffman's rich imagination the story of three generations of Owens women is explained. Two sisters, Gillian and Sally, are raised by their "eccentric" aunts in a house filled with herbs and potions. As the story unfolds, one sister marries and the other sister runs away to break free from the familiar. Years pass, but the bond between the two sisters eventually brings them back together again. Faced with an unforeseen force and surprising circumstances the two sisters, along with their aunts and Sally's girls, pull together and discover how rare and precious each other are.
This book was okay. It was slow at first but towards the end I could not put it down. However, this is one of those RARE times when I have to say that I liked the movie more than the book. Don't get me wrong...it is a good book, however I felt that the beginning was lacking in something.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I could not put it down - definately a page turner. Even though it is not a mystery and you know who the killer is, I was still mesmerized by this bizarre tale. Rule starts out by giving you background info on all the major players and on Wilmingtion, Delaware. Gradually she builds up to Faheys disappearance and then she explains how the killer was finally caught.
