| Many people like to debate on whether or not certain people are related to certain other people. Here, you will find whether or not people are related. This is all speculation based on events during the game. |
| Zell and Ma Dincht This might seem a little dumb to put, but the game does show his parents, so why not put them on this page? Anyway, Zell comes from the town of Balamb, where his mother presently lives. You can visit her house, which is the second on the right of the alleyway once you come into the town. You would think that she is his real mother, but she is not. The main evidence that proves that Ma Dincht is not his real mother is in the trip down memory lane inside the ruined Trabia Garden. Each character reminisces about their pasts at the basketball court during their stay. At one point, they are taken back to a stone orphanage. Here is the only real main clue. Zell remembers that he was at the orphanage. If that is so, then his parent or parents must have died right? That means that his mother isn't his real one. He was adopted by the age of 5 by the Dinchts. Rinoa and Julia Heartilly There is absolute proof that Rinoa is daughter of Julia Heartilly - Caraway. Julia married General Caraway of Deling City after being consoled from losing Laguna Loire. She bore a child (Rinoa), and was tragically killed in a car accident when Rinoa was 5 years old. If you compare Julia to Rinoa, you wil see that they are VERY similar in personality - free spirited and young, with a large amount of determination. She is in no way similar to her father, thus taking on her mother's maiden name (Heartilly) becoming Rinoa Heartilly and not Rinoa Caraway. From what you see of Julia in the dream world, you will notice a striking resemblance to Rinoa, so that is another clue. Interestingly enough, the last clue is when you will notice Rinoa's preference to the slower song played by Selphie and the group at the Garden Festival. The reason for her liking the slow song is because it is based on the song Eyes On Me written by her mother Julia. Ellone, Laguna Loire, Squall Leonhart and Raine Leonhart - Loire First of all, Laguna is Squall's father. There are a few clues that point to this fact. First is the dreamworld. Why is is that Squall only inhabits Laguna's body? This is mainly due to the fact that the people who inhabited the soldiers' bodies had a connection with them. That isn't really a good clue, but others are. Laguna fathered a male child 17 years before Squall's time. His wife, Raine, died shortly afterwards. Laguna is at war. The third clue is when Squall and Ellone are at the orphanage. Squall considers Ellone his blood sister, when she is actually just his protector. Ellone is not related to either Squall, Laguna, or Raine. Raine is Squall's mother. This is hard to determine, but is shown in Winhill if you choose to look. No one liked Laguna, and knew Raine by her name Leonhart (Presumably). That is how Squall got his name (Like Rinoa). He took his mother's maiden name. Another clue is Squall's card. Like the people in the dreamworld, the people who have certain cards have something to do with the person or thing on that card, thus the reason for Edea having her own card, the Trepies have Quistis' card, and so on and so forth. Laguna has Squall's card, and Ellone has Laguna's card. Another little clue, but the most significant is in the dialog. If you talk to both Kiros and Ward in Esthar as Squall, they will tell you that you look like your mother, but do not take after your father. How would they know Squall's parents? Kiros met Raine, so he knew her, and Ward was in the prison the entire time, but only knew Laguna, so they knew about them. The last clue was the Moombas. Moombas can tell a person by their DNA, and when you are imprisoned in the D District Prison, the final clue is that they recognize you as Laguna and not Squall. Since Squall is Laguna's son, he has the same DNA, thus the confusion. |
