| Balamb Garden Festival |
| As with every holiday, a certain day is set aside to honor or celebrate a specific event or function. This holds true with Balamb Garden as well. This day was not known as an actual holiday however, just an event for which the day is celebrated. This came to be known as the Balamb Garden Festival. On this day, the students and members of Balamb Garden are free to do whatever they please. This festival celebrates a few aspects of what the Garden has stood for - friendship, strength, togetherness, and talent. Although the Garden Festival lasts one day, there is a lot to do and see in that one day to make many happy. This is in no way different from any of the other days that are set aside for celebration, however. Each year, people go out to the quad to witness some showcase talent, to get over to the cafeteria to eat something other than cafeteria food itself, and to other places around the Garden to see what's going on, and what is new. This year, something has happened, as does every couple of years during the Garden Festival. The chair of the Festival is graduating, and is looking for someone to replace him. No one wants to take over, however, and the Garden finds itself in a little jamb. Then comes Selphie Tilmitt, a 17 year old female transfer student from neighboring Trabia Garden. Although it isn't known that Trabia Garden had a festival of it's own, Selphie makes it a point to be on the committee and or head other students into making this year's festival another great one. As you know, Balamb Garden gets attacked by Galbadian missiles, forcing it to become mobile in the second disc. With this, the Festival plans have been smashed, along with the stage area that the festival was supposed to be held. Many things happen that make some come to believe that the festival might not happen at all this year, until the fateful collision into Fisherman's Horizon. When the Fisherman Horizon technicians rebuild part of the Garden and Fh itself, Irvine asks a favor to rebuild the stage as well, but in FH itself. Many things happen, coming to the point where there might not be a festival. Squall is then appointed leader of Balamb Garden, which causes commotion about the festival. Selphie, therefore, takes control of the situation and plans to have the Garden Festival in his honor. She then schemes with the others to make this happen. A band will play on the stage in FH. Selphie and the others will be the members of the band. She needs your help, however. There seems to have been a mix up of music. She needs you to play the songs on different instruments. There are many paths you can take here. You can either try to correct the songs on your own, or look at this prepared list of instruments required to play the two songs. If you choose to give the songs a shot yourself, good luck, but be warned, Rinoa will make mean but funny comments about the style of play concerning the song itself. To play the slow version of Eyes On Me, you need to choose the following instruments- The saxophone The electric guitar The piano The bass guitar This will make Rinoa quite happy to hear her mother's song. In my opinion, this is the better of the two songs to choose and play. To play the jig, you need to choose the following instruments- The guitar The flute The violin The tap shoes Rinoa will be a little disappointed, but happy nonetheless. |
