My latest tour of Bowden Yard in December 2005 found not a locomotive in the garage, but the elusive business car of the FEC Railway, named 'Azalea', the sole passenger car retained by the FEC from her days of passenger service (other than those used for M.O.W equipment). The Bowden shed scene at the head of this page and below captures #430, in 2002.

Lined up efficiently on one of the engine tracks and ready to work, the roster here on 1 December 2005 includes #s 444,419,411,439, and two of the 700-number SDs from the UP. Maybe you've already noticed in my FEC website that I caught #411 at the Ft Lauderdale intermodal yard twenty-four hours later!

On the same track as the Azalea, just to the south of the shed is FEC #421, brandishing the blue flag and a complete tune-up in.

FEC #415, one of the Railway's original GP40 units, is tied up with #444 next to the yard office at Bowden, December 2005. Crewmen are about to move the units south about fifty yards to tie them up to the work line pictured above.
