I keep hearing that I am too negative and would like to address that issue. I am only negative when it comes to waisting your tax dollar. When we spend money on studies that never bear fruit such as the Entertainment study, the study to get government and business to work together, and the buxom study then yes I am negative about spending thousands of your tax dollars and seeing no gain of any kind. When I see city officials vote to give Mytown a $330,000.00 dollar unsecured loan and I know that one of them was picked to manage the Salon and three or four others are on the list of investors, then yes I have a negative attitude about conflict of interest. If anyone comes to the city requsting a $330.000.00 dollar loan then the investor list should not be privte. I guaruntee the banks would not give that loan.
When I see that the city can go to El Dorado and Kansas City to take bids on everything from tree work to engineering studies but can't get past Marmies for a car or truck bid, I view that in a negative light. When we have two office supply companies in town but we can only buy from one I have a problem with that.
I guess the bottom line is that your tax dollars are being wasted and it is up to you to decide if you want responsible government and responsible spending or if you want people who will waste your money and cater to the special interst groups. If you want elected officials who will forgive outstanding loans of thousands of your tax dollars with no intention of ever collecting on those loans.
