HALLOWEEN 6: EVIL'S END By: Dusty Fincher aka Sumbudy FADE IN: EXT. HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL - FERRIS WHEEL - NIGHT In the final scene from the predecessor, DR. SAM LOOMIS and SHERIFF BEN MEEKER have spotted TOMMY DOYLE and RACHEL CORRUTHERS climbing up the side of the Ferris Wheel trying to evade MICHAEL MYERS. But, so has a CARNIE. He runs up to the Ferris Wheel and yells up. CARNIE Hey, you two! Get down! You can't go up there! It's down for repairs! Tommy and Rachel gesture for him to go away and to be quiet. CARNIE No way! Get down now, before I call the police! The Carnie backs up a little to get a better view. He backs into someone. He spins around and sees the Shape. CARNIE Oh, sorry, sir. Nice costume. The next thing he does is widen his eyes in horror as The Shape stabs him in the chest a few times. The Carnie goes down beside the Ferris Wheel. RACHEL NO!!! Michael looks up at the couple's heads poking over the side of the top car. He then begins to climb up the iron structure, forgoing the cars. TOMMY We have to get down! By that point, Meeker had screeched up to the scene. He and Loomis scramble out of the car, each pulling out their guns. Both open fire, but The Shape is on the other side of the Wheel. The bullets bounce off the wheel. The Shape is about halfway up, then he scoots over behind one of the cars. He then gets in the car, ducking out of the way of flying bullets. Tommy and Rachel have started climbing down, going as quick as possible. MEEKER Hurry up, get down!! About halfway down the structure, a knife slashes from a car, catching Tommy's leg. He yelps in pain and almost loses his grip on the bars. MEEKER (to Loomis) We can't risk a shot, we may hit one of them. LOOMIS (to Tommy/Rachel) JUMP DOWN!! It's the only way!! Up on the Wheel, Rachel's having her doubts. RACHEL Can your leg take it? TOMMY It's gonna have to! RACHEL Let's do it. TOMMY Just try to roll when you hit the ground. RACHEL I can try. They both let go and fall as The Shape takes another swipe where Rachel's stomach had been a split second earlier. Tommy and Rachel hit the ground and roll. Tommy yelping in pain again. Groaning the both struggle up and run toward Loomis and Meeker. But Rachel notices something. RACHEL Jamie? They all look and see that Jamie had gotten behind the wheel of the squad car. She revs the engine. Everyone looks back at the Ferris Wheel to see Michael starting to climb down. INT. SQUAD CAR Jamie looks with determination at Michael. JAMIE (very low) Michael... She hits the gas. EXT. FAIRGROUNDS - FERRIS WHEEL - NIGHT The four ragged looking survivors run in different directions as the squad car zooms by them on a head on collision course with the Ferris Wheel. The car SLAMS into the Ferris Wheel full force with the Shape still on it. The Ferris Wheel TOPPLES over with a LOUD CRASH as the car burst into flames. Something electric sparks and a loud BOOM is heard as the Wheel and immediate surrounding BURST INTO FLAMES. The fire was so intense, no one dared approach it. Tommy holds Rachel as Loomis and Meeker look at the scene. RACHEL It's finally all over. LOOMIS I hope so. We come CLOSE on a shot of the Shape's mask burning as the figure lays still. Beside it is a certain Clown Mask. CUT TO: EXT. FAIRGROUNDS - WRECK - LATER Several police cars and emergency vehicles have gotten to the scene. Meeker guides Loomis, Rachel, and Tommy, leg wrapped in bandages, toward another squad car. MEEKER I'm afraid there's even more bad news, Rachel... They get in the car and it drives off away from the scene. We then start to steadycam through the Fairgrounds toward the edge of the woods. EXT. WOODS - NIGHT From behind a tree, TWO LEGS step into frame. Wearing the DEAD CARNIE'S BURNT CLOTHES. INT. SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Tommy holds Rachel in an embrace with a sad look on his face. Rachel is crying her eyes out. TOMMY I'm sorry, Rach. Meeker looks to the back seat. MEEKER I'm truly sorry to spring this on you after all that's happened, but you had a right to know. Rachel looks up, tears streaking her face, toward Loomis. RACHEL Which one did it? Was it Michael, or... She can't bring herself to say it. LOOMIS Not right now... RACHEL Yes! Right now! Loomis sighs and Meeker gives her the news. MEEKER Jamie's prints where all over the place. I think Michael just cleaned up after her. Rachel doesn't look like she can take much more of this. TOMMY Maybe we should talk about this later, huh? RACHEL Just one more thing, please. MEEKER All right, go ahead. RACHEL Did Jamie do what she did to save us, or because Michael was related to her. LOOMIS I don't know. I don't think we'll ever know. But by looking at his face, you'd think he was leaning toward the latter. EXT. SQUAD CAR - NIGHT The car drives on down the street until the tailights have disappeared, leaving a pitch black screen. FADE OUT OPENING CREDITS Orignal Theme playing over a flaming pumpkin. We go through one eye, travel through the pumpkin and come out the other eye to find that it's changed into the face of the shape. As the title of the movie "HALLOWEEN 6: EVIL'S END" comes on screen, the face of the Shape begins to crumble and fall apart. FADE IN SUPERIMPOSE: NOVEMBER 4th, 1996 Over a cememtary, deep in Haddonfield, on an overcast day. EXT. CEMETARY - DAY We pan over the graveyard, passing stone after stone until we come to one that we FOCUS ON: The name reads JAMIE LLOYD We pull back to reveal two figures standing over the tombstone, looking down solemly. They are RACHEL CORRUTHERS and TOMMY DOYLE. Rachel looks saddened. RACHEL She couldn't have done this, Tommy. TOMMY I know, Rach. RACHEL She loved mom and dad. And they loved her as if she were they're own. There's no way she could have killed them. Tommy looks down at Rachel. TOMMY (gently) But she did, Rach. As much as we wish she couldn't have done it, we have to accept the fact that she did. That's the only way it won't haunt us for the rest of our lives. RACHEL It will haunt me for the rest of my life no matter what. She may have physically done it, but she wasn't herself mentally, emotionally. So, no matter what she did, it wasn't her fault, Tommy. Tommy hugs her close. RACHEL It was something within her. Something that Michael had, he gave it to her as if it were a disease. There can be no other explanation. She kneels down to pray at Jamie's grave and Tommy stands in silence. She gets up a few minutes later and looks at Tommy, her expression no longer pained. RACHEL It's time to put this behind us. To heal. I've accepted what has happened, but I refuse to dwell on it. I know in the future, I'll still have nightmares about these past few days, but I will spend the rest of my life living it and being happy. I will not spend the rest of my days living in fear with a cloud hanging over me. Tommy smiles at her. TOMMY I'm glad to hear you say that. I feel exactly the same way. He pauses, feeling awkward. TOMMY Um... I know this isn't the most romantic of settings, but I thought it was fitting. He fiddles around in his pocket. TOMMY This is the place where we put our fears to rest, so this should be the place where we begin our true happiness... He pulls out a small engagement ring. TOMMY ...together. Rachel stands, speechless. TOMMY That is if you would like to. Rachel sputters a bit, trying to find her wits. RACHEL Uh... well... of cou... YES! She leaps at Tommy, grabbing him in a bear hug. He leans down an kisses her passionately on the lips. They let go and Tommy gets on one knee and takes her hand. He slips the band on her finger. TOMMY Now, at last, we can be happy. RACHEL It's about time. They kiss again and we... CUT TO: EXT. HADDONFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT - DAY Establishing. It's getting close to dark and a few cars are parked in the driveway. INT. HADDONFIELD PD - SHERIFF'S OFFICE We find BEN MEEKER, sitting behind his desk, rubbing his temples. A folder lable "LAB REPORTS" lay before him. He looks as though someone's told him that he was about to die. He looks at the phone, deliberates and finally picks it up. He dials and waits for an answer. When someone does, the voice is very familiar. DR. LOOMIS (voice only) Yes? MEEKER Sam, it's Ben. You wanted to know when we got the results. LOOMIS (anxiously) Yes. MEEKER Well, we did. We got the results and the bodies belonged to Jamie Lloyd and Kevin Stiller, a young man that was working at the carnival. LOOMIS What of Michael? MEEKER Those were the results, Sam. Michael was not in the wreckage. LOOMIS Damn!! This is far from over, then. MEEKER I know. LOOMIS Should I come? MEEKER Not right now. Town's been quiet ever since Halloween. I don't expect to hear another peep from him until Halloween. LOOMIS Don't be so sure, Sheriff. MEEKER Oh, I'm not. He usually only shows up around Halloween, but you can be sure we won't be treating it like that. One thing goes wrong in this town, one thing and the man hunt is on. LOOMIS I know you are not required to, but if anything happens, please let me know. MEEKER I wouldn't want to be out there without your expertise, Doctor, you can bet on that. LOOMIS What of the press? MEEKER We're gonna keep it quiet for now. No need to panic the town after what it's been through. LOOMIS Keep the beaches open, so to speak. MEEKER I wish you didn't make that sound so omnious. LOOMIS Just let me know at the first peep. MEEKER Will do, Doc. See ya. LOOMIS Goodbye, Sheriff. They hang up and Meeker puts his head on his hands. CUT TO: EXT. CHURCH - DAY SUPERIMPOSE OCTOBER 30th, 1998 The church is a small affair, the hand painted sign out front reads.. "EAST HADDONFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH" INT. CHURCH - OFFICE In a small office, filled with books and pictures of his family members,PASTOR JEFF SILVERLING sits behind his desk, in a discussion with Rachel and Tommy, who sit in two chairs on the other side of the desk. BRO. JEFF Almost two years, you say? TOMMY Yes. We've had money troubles, plans, little things like that. BRO. JEFF I completely understand. And you wish to have the ceremony in the next week. TOMMY If you can do it, that is. We don't really plan to have a huge, complicated wedding. Just a small affair with only a few attending. BRO. JEFF I see. TOMMY We've made all our other arrangments, all we need is a church and a pastor. Brother Jeff smiles in a way only an elderly pastor can. BRO. JEFF It will be no problem. I would be happy to preside over your joyous consumation. Tommy and Rachel give big smiles. RACHEL Thank you, Pastor. This means a lot. BRO. JEFF I know it does. I just need the details and we'll be ready. Let me just write this down. He pulls out an appointment book and a pen. He opens it and begins writing in it. BRO. JEFF November 4th, right? RACHEL Right. The second anniversary of our engagement. BRO. JEFF Lovely. Tommy takes Rachel's hand and gives it a squeeze. TOMMY This is it, honey. The day we've been waiting for. RACHEL Yes, it is. I only wish there were certain others who could share this day with us. TOMMY So do I. CUT TO: EXT. SMITH'S GROVE - OFFICES - NIGHT Establishing shot of the building. INT. SMITH'S GROVE - HALLWAY DR. HOFFMAN, admisistrator to these facilities, walks down the darkened hall toward his office, cursing under his breath. HOFFMAN Dad blasted keys... He opens the door to his office and turns on the lights. He makes his way over to the desk and looks down. He freezes, his mouth open in shock. Sticking into the desk is a huge knife, holding a piece of paper to the desktop. Hoffman gapes as he reads the one word, written in big red letters, all capatilized. REVENGE Hoffman quickly reaches for the phone and dials a number. He holds it to his ear, frustrated. There is no dialtone. He slams the reciever down, then calms a bit, but not much. He reaches into his coat and pulls out a cell phone. He quickly dials a number. HOFFMAN Security. This is Doctor Hoffman. We have a problem... CUT TO: EXT. HOUSE - NIGHT Jack-O-Lanterns and Halloween decorations take space on most residents on this street, except for one. We close in on this house and hear a phone ringing. INT. HOUSE - DEN DOCTOR SAM LOOMIS sits in a chair, looking over some books on his desk. He hastily picks up the phone. LOOMIS Yes? HOFFMAN Loomis? This is Hoffman. I'm afraid someone's been here. LOOMIS Someone? HOFFMAN I can't think of many people who would leave a butcher knife embedding into my desk with the word "revenge" stuck to it. LOOMIS My God. HOFFMAN Thought you should know. Looks like our number one patient is back. LOOMIS Call the police and get out of there. I'll be there as quickly as possible. HOFFMAN Someone from security is on there way. We'll be all right, Sam. Loomis knew there was no arguing with this hard head. LOOMIS Security won't be enough. He hangs up the phone and reaches for his coat. CUT TO: INT. HOFFMAN'S OFFICE - NIGHT Hoffman sits at his desk, looking at the knife uneasily. HOFFMAN Perhaps Loomis is right. He gets up as if to leave. CREAK! It's the door, slowly opening. Hoffman quickly ducks underneath his desk. The door continues to open and he hears someone step in. Hoffman holds his breath. A voice. VOICE Hello? Dr. Hoffman? Hoffman sighs in relief and shows himself. It's a security guard, standing in the doorway. HOFFMAN Sorry, Dwayne. You spooked me. Dwayne sees the desk. DWAYNE I can see why. Don't worry, the police will be here in a couple of minutes. He steps away from the door way and Hoffman gasps in horror. Standing as still as the night, right behind Dwayne is THE SHAPE. Dwayne notices Hoffman's expression and spins around quick enough to have the knife slammed into his stomach instead of his back. He gasps in pain. The Shape takes out the knife and slams it in his belly again. Dwayne goes down, shakes a couple of times and stays still. The Shape looks up at Hoffman and tilts his head. The Shape slowly advances in the office. Hoffman gets up as the Shape makes it's way around the desk. Hoffman BOLTS the other way as the Shape lunges toward him. The knife catches the chair and that's it. Hoffman is out of the room in no time, slamming the door behind him. INT. SMITH'S GROVE - HALLWAY We focus on the door to Hoffman's office as it FLIES OPEN, revealing the Shape. The Shape looks around. Hoffman is nowhere to be seen. He starts to slowly stalk down the hallway. INT. SMITH'S GROVE - JANITOR CLOSET Hoffman is crouched behind a rack of cleaning supplies, holding his breath. Footsteps come from the hallway and stop right outside the door. Hoffman slowly gets up and grabs ahold of a broom stick. He gets into position. The door creaks open slowly and a figure walks in. The figure walks to the lightswitch, but before he can flip it on, Hoffman leaps from his hiding place and slams the broom stick down on top of the figures head. The figure goes down with an "OOF!" Hoffman turns on the lights and looks down to see BILL RICHARDS, Smith's Grove's janitor. Hoffman talks to him softly. HOFFMAN Oh, hell, sorry, Bill. BILL What the hell are you doing!? HOFFMAN Hiding! Listen, Bill, we have a serious problem. We need to keep our voices down. BILL Could you please quit beating around the bush, Doctor? You'll excuse me for being short with you, but my head friggin' hurts like hell! HOFFMAN Michael Myers is here. Bill stops short, his mouth open in shock. BILL Say what? He can't be! Are you sure? HOFFMAN Maybe it's a shot in the dark, but regardless, someone wearing a white mask killed Dwayne just a few minutes ago. BILL Oh, boy. HOFFMAN The cops will be here in a few minutes. They will deal with him. The question is, should we take our chances and hide in here, or take our chances and try to get out of here. Either way, we are taking a chance. BILL Well, if he makes his way in here, and if he's looking for you, I'm sure he'll be sure to check everywhere, then we won't have much room. I say we make a run for it. HOFFMAN But maybe the cops will get here before he can find us. BILL If this is Michael Myers, the man who took out an entire police station back in '88, then I hardly want to take that chance. HOFFMAN Fine, let's get out of here. He opens the door and they step out. INT. SMITH'S GROVE - HALLWAY They look up and down the hall. No sign of the Shape anywhere. They quickly make their way to a door leading outside. They open it up and head out into the cool night air. EXT. SMITH'S GROVE - NIGHT They run down the sidewalk toward the small administor's parking and Hoffman's car. On each side of the sidewalk, right before the parking lot are two huge trees. The Shape suddenly steps out from behind a tree and the two skid to a halt. They switch directions and try to head off to the side. The Shape grabs Bill by the collar of his shirt and yanks him back, causing him to fall on the ground. The Shape raises his knife and brings it down into the unlucky janitor's chest. Hoffman sees this, but he does not try to help. He knows it's pointless. Instead, he makes it to his car. He quickly finds the key and unlocks the door. He quickly gets in and starts the engine. He puts the car in drive and tries to drive off, keeping his attention to the road. BOOM! EXT. SMITH'S GROVE - PARKING LOT All four of Hoffman's tires BLOW OUT. INT. CAR Hoffman curses under his breath and looks out the window. The Shape is slowly stalking toward the car, Bill's bloodied body behind him a ways on the walk. Hoffman locks the doors. The Shape continues to come. Hoffman hits the gas again, trying to drive the car on no tires. The car isn't doing this well. HONK HONK!!!! Hoffman hits the horn, trying to call attention to himself. He turns his attention away, looking in all directions looking for help. There is none to be found. He looks back over and sees the Shape has somehow disappeared. He looks all around in fear, not seeing the Shape anywhere. He looks to the road, weighing if he has a chance to make a run for it. BUMP He spins around to see a pair of coverall covered legs standing on the trunk of the car. The right foot takes a step to the top of the car, followed by the other. The Shape is on top of the car. Hoffman is stuck, as good as dead, and he knows it. He has no choice. He clicks the button that unlocks all four doors of his car and he throws the driver's side door open, hoping to distract the Shape. He lunges for the passenger side and is out of there pretty fast for a guy his age. EXT. SMITH'S GROVE - PARKING LOT - NIGHT Hoffman looks up to see the Shape still on top of the car, staring down at him. He was obviously not fooled by the driver's door. Hoffman turns around and tries to make a run for it, but he doesn't make it two steps before The Shape leaps off the car onto Hoffman, taking him down. HOFFMAN No, Michael, please! We can help you! Just turn yourself in and we will do what we can to help you. You need help, don't you? The Shape hasn't struck yet, so Hoffman figures maybe he's getting through. HOFFMAN I know it Michael. The evil, eating away at you like a disease. You're family is gone. All of it. You are ready to begin to heal, Michael. You are sick of this life, you know there is another one. You can't fool me. I know behind your silence is a clearly thinking brain. A mind that is still working, but that needs a few kinks worked out of it. Let me be the one to do that, Michael. If anyone can do it, I can. He was pleading now. The Shape stares down at it's victim, seeming to consider. In a flash, the knife is plowed down through the front of Hoffman's neck, and out the back. The Shape yanks the knife out and stands up. Hoffman gasps for breath, his last one as the fear fades from his eyes to be replaced by the blank look of the dead. The Shape turns around and slowly walks away, into the surrounding darkness until he can be seen no more. CUT TO: EXT. SMITH'S GROVE - LATER Cop cars surround the place, as do ambulances. Police tape is everywhere, the cops out, drinking their coffee, making reports. This is the scene to which Doctor Sam Loomis pulls up to when he brings his station wagon into the parking lot. He quickly gets out and rushes to the scene. The Sgt. in charge, DAN WALKER, walks up to meet him. LOOMIS I'm Doctor Sam Loomis. WALKER I know who you are? May I ask what you are doing here this time of night? Loomis has no time for this. LOOMIS I work here. WALKER You telling me you have no idea what's going down here. LOOMIS I'm very aware of what's happening, officer... WALKER Sergeant Walker. LOOMIS Dr. Hoffman called me and told me that there was a message here. I told him to call the cops and get out. Have you spoken with him yet? Walker looks grim. WALKER No one's gonna do to much talking to him anymore. Loomis' eyes widen. LOOMIS Are you telling me he's dead? WALKER Along with the janitor and a security guard. Whoever did this was brutal. LOOMIS There is no whoever. WALKER Are you suggesting you know who did this? LOOMIS How could you not know? There's only one person it could be. WALKER He's been missing for two years. It could be a copycat. LOOMIS Think what you wish, Sgt. But if I were you, I'd put this town under heavy watch for the next two nights or so. I would also call Haddonfield sheriff Ben Meeker and tell him the news. And tell him I'm on my way as well. WALKER I'll do my job as I see fit. LOOMIS I won't attend your funeral. Good night, sergeant. Loomis turns around and storms off without so much as glancing back. Walker curses under his breath and walks through a crowd of officers to his squad car. He picks up a car phone and dials a number. WALKER Yeah, Walker here. Patch me into Haddonfield, Jeb. CUT TO: EXT. GAS STATION - NIGHT A blue chevy lumina pulls into a parking slot and a TEENAGER pops out of the side. He's kind of walking fast and uncomfortable. Focus on the street behind as Loomis' station wagon zooms on by down the highway. The TEENAGER runs out of the store with a key in his hand. He runs around the side and puts the key into a door marked "MEN". Obviously, the kid has to piss something horrible. INT. BATHROOM The Teen locks the door behind him and turns around. He unzips, the camera keeping behind him, and lets her rip. The teen gets an "Ah yeah" look on his face as he relieves himself. The handle turns as someone tries to get in. TEEN Hold on a few minutes! The turning continues. Suddenly there's pounding on the door. TEEN Geez I'm almost through! He finishes up and zips up. He walks up to the door and opens it up,revealing... AN OLD HOMELESS MAN MAN I've gotta piss! The teen looks at him, angry. He throws the keys to the man. TEEN Fine. You're in such a hurry, take this back for me. The old man slams the door shut and the kid makes it back to his car. He gets in. INT. CHEVY The Teen cranks the car and adjusts his mirror. CLOSE ON THE MIRROR The face of The Shape stares back at us through the rearview mirror. Before the teen can scream, a hand wraps around his mouth and the other brings a huge knife around, jamming it into his chest. Blood comes forth and the Shape strikes again. The teen's screams are muffled by the Shapes hand. After a few seconds, the teen's eyes glaze over. EXT. GAS STATION - NIGHT The back door opens and the Shape gets out. He opens the door to the driver's side and pulls out the body of the teenager. It looks over at the bathroom and sees the old man, who looks horrified. The man runs off and the Shape enters the car. The car makes it's way onto the highway and heads Haddonfield way.
