CUT TO: EXT. HIGHWAY - NIGHT We find our three heros stranded on the side of the road. Brock sits by the jacked up cop car and uses a lugwrench to take the nuts off the wheel. He spins the last lug nut off and takes the tire off. Tommy rolls the spare over to him and Rachel looks back towards Haddonfield. RACHEL I wonder how they're doing back there. BROCK I'm sure they're holding their own. Rachel snorts. TOMMY What are you thinkin', Rach? RACHEL I don't know, really. It just doesn't seem right, what we're doing. TOMMY What do you mean? RACHEL He came for us and we're running. BROCK Good thing, too, considering what he does to other folks he comes after. RACHEL So what's he gonna do when he can't find us? TOMMY No telling. RACHEL Yeah, no telling. I don't know what I'm getting at here, guys, it just doesn't feel right. TOMMY What doesn't feel right? What we're doing? Where we're going? What? RACHEL I don't know, Tommy. CUT TO: EXT. POLICE STATION - NIGHT A squad car pulls up into the parking lot and parks. Out steps OFFICER STRAIT. He walks up to the doorway and sees Cletus' body laying in the ruins of the glass door. STRAIT Cletus? As he moves closer, he sees the glass protruding from Cletus' neck. Instinctively, he goes up to Cletus' body and kneels down to him. Noticing that there's no way this guy is alive, he pulls his gun and gets up. INT. POLICE STATION - NIGHT Strait walks through the building, seeing it empty. He notices the door to the cellblock opened and heads that way, holding his gun ahead of him. INT. POLICE STATION - CELL BLOCK Strait sees Jonathon's body laying against his cell. He looks back into the shadows and sees nothing. EXT. POLICE STATION - NIGHT Strait walks out and looks over to where the cops park. He looks on in disbelief as he sees Meeker's body laying beside a car. STRAIT Oh, no. He rushes over to the Sheriff. STRAIT Sheriff? Sheriff!?? He kneels down by Meeker and checks his pulse. STRAIT God.. Ben! He goes to his car and picks up the mike. STRAIT All available units to the Haddonfield PD. Get an ambulance here, too. We have officers down, repeat: officers down! EXT. HIGHWAY - NIGHT Brock is busy putting the new tire on as Strait's report comes through. BROCK Ah, shit. Brock doubles his efforts. He finishes tightening up the lugnuts as Tommy and Rachel watch him nervously. He starts lowering the jack as HEADLIGHTS appear in the distance, coming from Haddonfield. The jack is finally lowered as the car coming from behind starts slowing down. TOMMY What the hell... They finally notice that it's a Haddonfield PD squad car. RACHEL Something must have happened for them to send someone. The car pulls over to the other side of the dark street, making it hard to see who's in the driver's seat. BROCK I thought they got the message that it's under control here. Just a flat. RACHEL Maybe something happened back in town. Brock gathers his tools and walks past Tommy and Rachel, taking them to the open trunk to put them away. The door opens on the driver's side of the other squad car. BROCK Who goes there? We have it under control now. Something go down at the station? They see someone getting out of the car. The cameral comes in close on Brock's face as it changes expression. BROCK Tommy, Rachel. In the car. NOW! He pulls out his sidearm and FIRES as the Shape steps around the front of the car. The bullet hits his arm and he keeps a coming. Rachel gets in the passengers side in the front seat. Tommy thinks a second, quickly grabs Brock's keys out of the trunk and gets in the back behind the driver's side. BROCK FREEZE!! He fires twice more and the Shape goes down. Brock advances towards the Shape's body, sidearm still in front of him. He gets just outside of arms length and stops to aim his gun right at the Shape's head. INT. SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Rachel rolls down the window and, thinking Brock is going to be stupid enough to touch the body, screams. RACHEL Deputy, NO! He's still alive!!! EXT. HIGHWAY - NIGHT Brock turns around to face Rachel. BROCK I know! Don't worry, I'm just gonna finish him off. Brock turns around and before he can make another move, the Shape rolls over and kicks Brock's feet out from under him. Brock goes down, firing his gun wild into the air. INT. SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Rachel screams in terror as she and Tommy watch the Shape get up, and slam the knife into Brock's chest. The Shape stops with one stab as he hears Rachel's scream. The Shape stands up to it's full height and starts to advance towards Brock's squad car. TOMMY Rachel, here. He shoves Brock's keys through the mesh between the front and back seats to Rachel. TOMMY Scoot over and drive. NOW. Rachel grabs the keys and scoots over to the driver's seat. She puts in a big key and turns it. Miraculisly, it works. The car revs up and Rachel looks out the window to see the Shape standing RIGHT THERE. She hits the gas and the car PEELS out as it screeches down the highway. Rachel looks in the rearview and sees the image of the Shape quickly receding. She hits the breaks. TOMMY Rach, what are you doing?! RACHEL Fuck this. She turns the car around and heads back to the accident site. EXT. HIGHWAY - NIGHT The Shape looks up as it heads back to Meeker's squad car to see Brock's car coming straight at it. INT. SQUAD CAR - NIGHT RACHEL'S POV Through the window, we see the Shape coming up fast. BAM!!!! Rachel plows right into the Shape, throwing it off the road. She screeches to a halt beside Brock's bleeding body. RACHEL Get out and get him. We are not going to leave him. TOMMY Rachel, Michael is right.... RACHEL DO IT, Tommy! Tommy, no arguments this time, throws open his door and grabs Brock's body. He notices the deputy is still breathing, but he's bleeding pretty badly. He looks back and sees the the Shape is still on the side of the road, laying motionless. He drags Brock into the back seat of the car and slams the door behind him. He looks out the window to see the Shape SIT UP. TOMMY Got him. Now GO! Rachel hits the accelerator and they head back towards Haddonfield. RACHEL That settled it, Tommy. There's no running or hiding from this guy. Wherever we go, he'll find us. We're going home and seeing this thing through to the end. Brock groans in pain. Tommy takes of his sweater and attempts to wrap it around Brock's chest to stop the bleeding. TOMMY He's bad off, Rach. We have to get him help, quick. Rachel reaches down and fiddles with the radio mike until she gets it on. She picks up the mike and talks into it. RACHEL Haddonfield PD, this is Rachel Corruthers. Michael Myers caught up with us while we had a flat. Deputy Brock has been seriously injured. We are heading back your way and we'll be at the hospital in ten minutes. She puts down the mike and buries the accelerator even more. TOMMY That was pretty good. RACHEL Thanks. A squak comes from the radio and Dr. Loomis' voice fills the car. LOOMIS Rachel. Are you and Tommy all right? Rachel picks the mike back up. RACHEL Physically, we're both fine. Brock might not make it, though, unless we get him help as soon as possible. LOOMIS So, you're coming back to town. RACHEL That's right, and don't argue with us about it, Doctor, we've made a decision. Brock's been hurt and Michael would just catch up with us anyways. LOOMIS I won't argue with you. I'm afraid we have a bit of bad news here, though. The police station was hit. Everyone there was killed. Including Sheriff Meeker. Rachel closes her eyes as she feels like her stomach and chest has flipped places. RACHEL (quietly) No. LOOMIS I'm afraid so, Rachel. Get here as quickly as possible. We'll be waiting. Out. Rachel puts down the mike. RACHEL That was abrupt. TOMMY He knows Michael is probably listening. I can't believe about Sheriff Meeker, though... He trails off and they drive on in silence, each lost in their own thoughts. EXT. HADDONFIELD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - NIGHT Loomis, Macher and Strait stand beside a squad car as Rachel pulls up. Loomis hurries to the car and opens the back door. They are right outside the emergency room He takes one look at Brock and yells at the other's. LOOMIS They're here! Hurry up and get him inside. This man will die if not seen to immediatly. Two men and a nurse come out with a stretcher and they load Brock onto it. Just as quickly, they rush him inside. Rachel gets out of the car. RACHEL Is anyone here that can operate on him? LOOMIS After you got in touch with us, we called in the surgeon. He's inside waiting. Hopefully, the lad will be all right. He was a brave one. RACHEL Still is. LOOMIS Yes, of course. Macher and Strait join them. TOMMY What next? STRAIT You guys get somewhere safe and we'll take it from here. RACHEL There's no such thing as safe anymore, officer. Everytime we go somewhere safe, someone we love gets hurt or a lot worse. We're through being safe. STRAIT Rachel... LOOMIS Leave her be, officer. She's right. She won't be safe until he is stopped. She and Tommy should see this thing through this time. RACHEL Thank you, doctor. TOMMY Which leads me to, once again, what next? How does this thing end. LOOMIS I'm not entirely sure how this ends, but I only know of one place that it CAN end. CUT TO: EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT Two squad cars sit out in front of the house. One car contains Strait, Loomis, Tommy and Rachel and in the other one sits Matt Phillips and Macher. INT. STAIT'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Strait picks up his mike and talks into it. STRAIT We're hoping Michael comes to his home, where we have Tommy and Rachel. Hopefully we'll stop him here. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT We pan from Strait's car to Macher's car. INT. MACHER'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Macher talks into his mike. MACHER Are you sure that's wise? Leaving those two there? STRAIT (VO) They insisted on coming. INT. STRAIT'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT STRAIT (CONT'D) We firgure, why not? He'll just find 'em anyways. Just keep combing the streets in case he doesn't show up. MACHER (VO) Gotcha. Over. Strait hangs up the mike and looks over at Loomis. STRAIT If he's in Ben's car, he's sure to have caught that. I hope he doesn't think it's a trap and avoid it. LOOMIS He'll be here. Whether he thinks its a trap or not, he'll come. He has no compunctions about marching into your police headquarters, he'll not think twice about coming to his own home turf. And when he comes, we'll be ready. STRAIT I most certainly hope so. Good luck. We'll be keeping an eye on you from afar, and Matt'll be your escort. Loomis, Tommy and Rachel exit the car. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT Strait pulls into the drive to turn around. He pulls beside Macher's car and reaches over to roll down the passenger window. Macher does the same. STRAIT You stay parked here. I'll drive around the neighborhood. If you see the sheriff's car, call me immediatly. MACHER Will do. STRAIT Matt, they're ready when you are. MATT I'm ready as I'm gonna be. Matt exit's Macher's car. Strait drives off. Matt walks up and joins the others. MATT You guys ready? TOMMY Let's go. They start walking towards the front door of the house. RACHEL You're the one who saved that girl earlier? MATT I guess you could say that. Had a little help, though. RACHEL This a scary place inside? MATT There's definately a creepy quality to it. I don't know if it's because it's been abandoned for so many years or knowing the house's previous history, but it's hard to walk through it without being at least a little uncomfortable. The approach the door. LOOMIS When a house has been occupied by evil itself, I should think one would be uncomfortable walking through it. Loomis opens the door and they enter. INT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT The four come into the foyer of the house. TOMMY I think it's safe to say an uncomfortable vibe passes down the spine in being inside this place. Rachel says nothing, just shivers in disgust. MATT What now? Any plans? LOOMIS We wait for him. Just keep an eye out and both ears open. We want him in here and we'll have to get out someway before officer Strait does his job. MATT All righty. Let's just get the layout of this establishment first. He looks around. Nothing in here but a beat up old couch and some stairs heading to the second floor. Loomis leads them off to the right through the DINING ROOM and takes a left into the KITCHEN. INT. MYERS HOUSE - KITCHIN - NIGHT A small affair. A couple of kitchen chair still sit. Drawers are halfway open on the side of the sink. LOOMIS This is where he came in that night. Or at least where we think he came in. He walked in, grabbed a knife out of one of those drawers right over there, went into the living room and marched right upstairs to Judith's room and brutally stabbed her to death. He showed no mercy what- soever. RACHEL And he was only six years old. LOOMIS That's the tradgedy of this whole sordid affair. RACHEL How on earth could a little boy be capable of such a thing? LOOMIS It's easier if you don't think of him as a little boy. He heads out of the kitchen, leading them back to the living room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT Loomis walks up to the stairs and starts up them. He is followed by the other three. TOMMY How do you think of him, Doctor? LOOMIS A vessel. An empty cup that needed to be filled by something. He was young, weak willed. And when that thing filled him up, it wasn't pretty. They make it to the top of the stairs. INT. MYERS HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY - NIGHT Loomis leads them into a room across the hall. MATT So what you're saying is that some kind of outside evil force took over this kid, causing him to do these horrible things? Loomis shakes his head in disbelief as he walks into the room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - JUDITH'S ROOM - NIGHT The others follow him in. LOOMIS For over 20 years I've been telling everybody how that boy was purely and simply evil. Do you all think I was being metaphorical? He takes a look around the old room. LOOMIS This is it. This is where the evil finally took hold. It never let go, never even came close to loosening it's grip after that night. This is where the terror that is Michael Myers began. RACHEL What happens if Michael dies? What happens to the evil? Will it die too? LOOMIS I wish I knew. Maybe, if the world is fortunate, the evil will die with Michael Myers. Maybe the evil will float around until it finds another weak minded vessel. If that is the case, I pray the evil floats around for a long, long time. RACHEL That's a creepy thought, Doc. LOOMIS I know. They look in grim silence around the room for a few minutes. RACHEL Neil Davids was killed here that last time. He was only doing his job and he was stabbed to death. We have to kill him tonight. No one should ever have to go through the nightmares we've all gone through. Ever. TOMMY We'll stop him, Rach. RACHEL If there's a God. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT We see Macher through the window of his car, leafing through a magazine. But that doesn't mean he's not watching. If we look at him closely, we'll notice that he's not really paying attention to the magazine, but looking around the neighborhood. EXT. LAMPKIN LANE - NIGHT A couple of blocks down the street from the Myers house, we look down the house from a certain POV. With heavy breathing in the background. Branches from low hanging trees are slightly obscuring our POV. We track the progress of another cop car coming from the other way. INT. STRAIT'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Strait drives down Lampkin Lane, keeping an eye out for Meeker's stolen cruiser. As Strait looks down a side street, is that a white face staring at us through the bushes from across the street? Hard to tell, as the cruiser passes the spot before we can get a good look. Strait drives on, passing Macher's parked car. He looks over at Macher as he passes and nods his head. Macher nods back and gets back to his survelience. EXT. LAMPKIN LANE - NIGHT The POV comes from behind the bush. A heavy breathing is heard continuosly. We follow the POV down the street in a steady cam shot, bringing us across the street from the Myers place. We look at Macher's cruiser. INT. MACHER'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Macher looks at the house. This time, we can see clearly the Shape standing across the street staring at the cruiser. MACHER'S POV The house is quiet, no activity whatsoever. We catch a glimpse of something periferaly, as if out of the corner of our eye. INT. MACHER'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Macher spins his head around to look across the street. Nothing. As if nothing was ever there. He shakes his head, trying to clear it. MACHER Grab ahold of yourself. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT SHAPE'S POV We are coming up behind the squad car now. We approach until we are beside the car and the Shape can be seen in the sideview mirror. INT. MACHER'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Macher slowly looks away from the Myers house to right outside his driver's side doorway and finds himself looking into the face of the shape. MACHER Holy shit. The Shape raises his hand and SLAMS it into the window, which shatters. Before Macher can grab his gun and get off a shot, the Shape reaches in and grabs him by the head with both hands. A TWIST and a SNAP accompany Macher's neck breaking. The Shape backs up and looks over at the house on Lampkin Lane. He starts that way. INT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT The front door slowly CREAKS open and the Shape fills the doorway. He walks directly towards the stairs. INT. MYERS HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY - NIGHT The Shape makes it to the top of the stairs and pauses. He looks towards Judith's room. Voices can be heard coming from the room softly from people who are out of sight. He tilts his head as if contenplating. He turns around and walks back down the stairs. INT. MYERS HOUSE - JUDITH'S ROOM The group stand in a position where they can't really see out of the door of the room, their conversation halted. RACHEL You hear that? MATT I did. Sounded like the door opening. TOMMY We'd better go check. MATT No. I'll go check. You and the doctor stay here. If I'm not up in a few minutes, call officer Macher or Strait. You have a radio? Loomis pulls the radio out of his coat. MATT Good. Wish me luck. We follow behind Matt as he leaves the room. We get to Judith's doorway and as we look out, there is no sign of the Shape. INT. MYERS HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY Matt slowly goes to the stairs and walks down, slowly. By now, he has pulled out his sidearm and has it up at the ready. He makes it to the bottom of the stairs with no incidents. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Matt finds himself looking at the wide open front door of the Myers house. He sees Macher's car beyond, but Macher seems to just be sitting there. A little too still. Matt casts a glance around into the living room. Nothing seems to be amiss here. He cautiously walks out of the house. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT We STEADYCAM behind him as he walks across the front lawn towards Macher's car. He can't help but notice that there seems to be no one living at any of the residences aound the place, as if living around the area would be a curse. He slowly walks up to the squad car and from here, we can see clearly the broken window on the other side and the fact that Macher is surely dead. Matt wastes no more time, he turns around and rushes back towards the Myers house. He goes in and shuts the door, looking out the window at Macher's squad car. Behind his shoulder, we see THE SHAPE standing at the threshold where the dining room comes into the living room. The Shape advances towards Matt from behind and by the time Matt turns around to continue to search the house, The Shape is facing him down. Matt yelps and the Shape grabs him by the neck and RAMS him against the door. Matt tries to kick the Shape, but it has no effect. The Shape raises his knife high in the air and Matt flinches away, closing his eyes. WHAM! The knife slams down into Matt's chest. He pulls the knife out and blood gushes forth. Matt tries to cry out, but nothing comes out but a bloody gurgle. He falls down and heaves one last breath before he goes still. INT. MYERS HOUSE - JUDITH'S ROOM Rachel and Tommy sit on the floor, their backs to the wall. Loomis looks out a cracked window into the back yard. RACHEL He should be back by now. No sooner are the words out of her mouth that they all hear a small THUMP from downstairs. RACHEL What was that? TOMMY Maybe it was Matt going out the door. RACHEL Maybe we should go check on him. TOMMY We should stay up here and wait a couple of more minutes. If he's not here then, we'll call somebody. RACHEL I have a bad feeling about it, Tommy. What if he's here, in the house? TOMMY That was the plan, remember? RACHEL We didn't plan on starting to split up, going off by ourselves. It would just make it easier for him. LOOMIS Perhaps we should take a peak down- stairs. He pulls out his gun and starts towards the door. Rachel gets up and so does Tommy, reluctantly. They exit the room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY The walk to the top of the stairways and start down. Halfway down, the see Matt's body, sitting up against the doorway. The Shape is gone. LOOMIS Back upstairs, now. Tommy and Rachel back up the stairs, slowly, back into Judith's room. Loomis walks down the stairs. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Loomis looks around the living room. LOOMIS Michael? Are you here? I know you are, Michael. Come out. It's time to end this tiresome game, Michael. Tommy and Rachel no longer matter. This has always been between the both of us. This endless game of cat and mouse. He walks back towards the dining room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - DINING ROOM Loomis keeps his gun up. LOOMIS I'm getting too old, Michael. You must be too. We've been going round and round for what seems like ages. It's time, Michael. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER A closet door opens slowly as Loomis turns into the dining room, out of sight. The Shape exits the closet and starts climbing the stairs. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT We pan over to Macher's car. INT. MACHER'S SQUAD CAR - NIGHT Strait's voice squaks over the raido. STRAIT Macher, this is Strait. We've found Sheriff Meeker's car abondoned on the side of the road about seven blocks down from Lampkin Lane. Look for Myers on foot, repeat, Myers is on foot. Over? A pause as Macher is too dead to answer the call. STRAIT Macher? Are you there? Loomis? Dammit, Macher, answer me now! Another pause. STRAIT If you can here me, I'll be there as quick as I can. Over. INT. MYERS HOUSE - KITCHEN Loomis walks cautiously through the kitchen. It's obvious that Michael is no where in the room. LOOMIS Damn you, Michael. He rushes back through the house towards the foyer. INT. MYERS HOUSE - JUDITH'S ROOM Footsteps come from outside the room and slowly, the Shape steps into the room. SHAPE'S POV The room is empty. Rachel and Tommy are gone. The Shape walks across the room and opens the door to the next room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - MICHAEL'S ROOM The Shape enters his old room and stops short. He looks around. There's an old bed still sitting in the corner. POV FROM UNDER THE MATTRESS We watch as two coverall covered legs come walking across the room towards the bed. They stop in front of the bed. The legs bend as The Shape's face comes into view, looking under the bed. SHAPE'S POV A BLACK CAT sitting under the bed. The Camera View switches to a shot from behind the Shape. The Shape reaches under the bed and we hear a HISS and a CRAAACK. The Shape stands up once again. INT. MYERS HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY Tommy and Rachel step out of a bathroom and rush towards the stairway. They rush down the stairs to be met by Dr. Loomis. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Tommy and Rachel stop short at the sight of the dead Matt Phillips. TOMMY So, Michael is in the house. Loomis looks up the stairs. LOOMIS Yes, he is. The other two follow his gaze and find themselves looking at the Shape standing at the top of the stairs. The Shape starts down the stairs. Loomis raises his gun, takes a good aim and BLAM BLAM BLAM!!! Three shots in the head. The Shape takes a tumble and starts rolling down the stairs. He rolls to their feet and lays still. His knife lays right beside him. LOOMIS Rachel. Run out to the car and get the supplies. Rachel almost freezes in fear. RACHEL What if he... what if he gets back up. He always gets back up... TOMMY We have him, Rach. Just go get the stuff. Dr. Loomis and I will make sure he stays here. Loomis stands over the Shape with his gun aimed right at it's head. Rachel hesitates. TOMMY Go, Rach. This is the only way to end this tonight. Rachel goes to the door, steps over Matt's body and heads into the night. TOMMY Think he's dead? LOOMIS After all the punishment he's taken over these many years. There's no way in hell he's dead. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT Rachel rushes out to Macher's car. She stops when she sees Macher's body bent double over the wheel. RACHEL Awww... She goes over to the driver's side and opens the door. Shaking, she gently moves Macher's body over. Then she reaches around the steering wheel and pulls the keys out of the ignition. She shuts the door and walks to the back of the car. She puts the keys in the trunk and opens it up. CU TRUNK Two JUGS of GASOLINE and two BAGS of GUNPOWDER. She grabs a thing of gasoline and a thing of gunpowder, then heads back to the house. INT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT Rachel walks through the open door and sets the supplies down. LOOMIS Tommy, drag the officer out of here. He deserves to have his body intact. Tommy nods his head and walks over to Matt's body. He grabs him by the arms and drags him out of the house. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT Tommy pulls the body, grunting, to the squad car. He then thinks to go to the trunk and pull out the rest of the suplies. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Tommy enters again with the supplies. Loomis contines to stand over the motionless Shape, his aim still steady. LOOMIS Tommy, Rachel, start pouring. We're going to send this house and Michael back to Hell where he truely belongs. Tommy and Rachel each pick up a can of gasoline. Tommy starts pouring around the foyer then starts making his way upstairs, pouring a line of gas up the stairs. Rachel heads towards the dining room and kitchen. INT. KITCHEN Rachel pours gasoline all over the kitchen, pretty much drenching it. Out of the corner of her eye a SHADOW moves. She jerks around to see a FORM OF A MAN walking toward her. She lets out a startled scream. The man walks out of the shadow is OFFICER STRAIT. STRAIT Calm down, Rachel. I saw Macher Phillips outside and thought something went wrong. So I snuck around back. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Loomis jerks his head toward the kitchen as he hears Rachel let out a scream. LOOMIS Rachel!? Close up on the Shape's hand as it reaches out and grabs the knife. INT. MYERS HOUSE - KITCHEN Strait puts a comforting hand on Rachel's shoulder. RACHEL I'm okay, Doctor! It's just officer Strait! He startled me. STRAIT Sorry, Rachel. It's Halloween. No one deserves that good of a scare. RACHEL It's okay. We have him, officer. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Loomis continues to look toward the kitchen. He sighs, relieved that it was a false alarm. CU ON THE SHAPE as it SITS UP with astonishing speed and drives the knife into Loomis' leg. Loomis lets out a painful YELP and drops his gun as he automatically grabs his leg. The Shape stands to it's full height and slams the knife into Loomis' back. Loomis goes down. The Shape heads towards the stairs and heads back up them. INT. MYERS HOUSE - KITCHEN Strait and Rachel look up sharply as Loomis lets out his scream. Rachel drops her gasoline can. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Rachel and Strait rush in to find Loomis lying in a bloody hump and no sign of the Shape anywhere. RACHEL Oh, no! STRAIT Get out of here, Rachel! RACHEL NO! I have to go get Tommy! We have to stop him from getting Tommy! With that, Rachel bounds up the stairs. Strait shakes his head, pulls out his gun and follows. STRAIT Why do young people have to be such hard headed idiots? INT. MYERS HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY Tommy, finished drenching the rest of the upstairs has gone into Judith's room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - JUDITH'S ROOM Tommy drenches the room a bit, and coming on the last of the gas, he walks into the next room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - MICHAEL' S ROOM Tommy looks and sees a fresh dead cat. He winces in disgust as he drenches the room with the rest of the gasoline. INT. MYERS HOUSE - JUDITH'S ROOM SHAPE'S POV We steadycam through Judith's room, heavy breathing coming through the speakers. We follow until we reach the doorway and look in on Tommy's back from the threshold. We enter the room. INT. MYERS HOUSE - MICHAEL'S ROOM Tommy drops his can as he senses another presense in the room. He stiffens up and slowly turns around to see the Shape standing just inside the door, holding a knife. TOMMY Michael. The Shape continues to stare him down. Then he starts to advance. Tommy mentally resolves himself to what seems to be inevitable. TOMMY Fine, Michael. Let's finish this thing right now. He starts towards the Shape. Before the Shape can react, Tommy DUKES him right in the Shatner mask. The Shape's head jerks back from the impact. But it stands it's ground. He takes a swipe at Tommy, who ducks and brings another fist to the Shape's stomach. Still no effect. He rears back again, throws another punch. The Shape brings his hand up, catches the punch and starts to squeeze Tommy's fist. Tommy, grimacing in pain, goes down to his knees. The Shape, still griping Tommy's arm in an iron clast grip with one hand, takes it's knife with the other hand and BURIES it in Tommy's side. Tommy screams in pain. The Shape pulls the knife out and raises it once again for the killer blow. BLAM!!! A bullet shatters the knife. BLAM!!! Another one knocks the Shape to it's knees, letting go of Tommy. BLAM!!! Another puts him down. Tommy, clutching his side and favoring his hand manages to get up and limp toward Rachel and Strait, who was holding a smoking gun. RACHEL We have to get you help, Tommy. Tommy pulls out a box of matches. TOMMY Not before we do what we came here to do. He gingerly lights a match and throws it to the ground. It catches the gasoline and FLAMES start rushing through Judith's room toward Michael's room. STRAIT Let's go. Together, Rachel and Strait help Tommy to the head of the stairs and helps him down. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Tommy stops short when he sees Loomis' crumpled body. TOMMY (softly) No. It can't be.. The flames upstairs start raging throughout the rest of the upstairs. The head of the stairs was a raging inferno and it starts making it's way down the stairs. STRAIT We don't have time, we have to get out of here. This house is gonna be ashes in a very short while. He and Rachel help Tommy out the front door. EXT. MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT Tommy lights another match and throws it inside. INT. MYERS HOUSE - FOYER Surrounded by fire, Loomis stirs. His wound is bad, and he can barely move, but he manages to start to crawl towards the front door, putting him in the pathway from the door to the stairway. WE PAN to see up at the head of the stairs, THE SHAPE comes walking through the flames, part of his coveralls on fire. Loomis, out of strength, can't crawl anymore. He reaches back in his lying position and grabs his gun. The Shape makes it to the bottom of the stairs and starts towards the front door. It pays Loomis no mind as it passes him. In a bit of strength born of nothing more than sheer will, Dr. Sam Loomis grabs ahold of the Shape's pants leg as he passes and yanks.
