NOTE:  I was writing this scene of Thurman and Gary in the church and it didn't feel
right as I was writing it.  So I began the scene again and came up with what's in the
final script.  I'd thought it'd be cool for you all to see how the scene was going before
I changed my mind. I add this because we do live in a DVD world, you know.




A CREAK sounds through the sanctuary as the front double doors open.  Gary and Thurman
look up at the sound.

					GARY
				Well, it's about freakin'....

He stops as he sees the SHAPE standing in the doorway of the church.

					GARY
				         (small voice)
				....time.

					THURMAN
				Is that who I think it is?

					GARY
				He looks close enough like him that I
				ain't gonna stick around to find out.  You
				can ask him if you want.

					THURMAN
				No thanks.

The both get up and run to the other side of the church and try to open the doors.  They're either
locked or blocked from the other side.

The Shape stalks towards them.

The guys are frantic.

					THURMAN
				We ain't getting these doors open, man!	

					
The Shape stops where he is.  To get out, they must go through him.

Gary hits the door with his shoulder and gets nothing for his trouble save a sore shoulder.

					THURMAN
				What the hell are we supposed to do?!

Gary leans over and speaks low to Thurman.

					GARY
				You run on one side, I take the other.  He
				can't get both of us.

					THURMAN
				But he can still get ONE of us!  Are you crazy?!

					GARY
				That's what we want him to think.  Us, what
				we're really going to is act as though we're trying
				to get around him on the side of the church, and
				make for a window.  We through them open, jump
				out and we're home free.

					THURMAN
				What about the girls?

					GARY
				We go to the bathrooms, get 'em, then get
				the hell out of here.

					THURMAN
				Better than nothing....

					GARY
				GO!

They both split up, Thurman to the right, Gary to the left.  We follow Gary as he makes a dash down
the left outer aisle, stops and throws open a window.  He leaps out of it.

EXT. CHURCH - NIGHT

Gary lands on the ground, gets up and looks in through the window to see that the Shape was able
to grab ahold of Thurman before he made it.
