INT. THE KITCHEN-TOMMY AND KARA WALK THROUGH,KARA CARRYING STEVEN. THEY WALK INTO THE LIVINGROOM.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-TOMMY AND KARA HEAD FOR THE STILL-OPEN FRONT DOOR,KARA IN THE LEAD.
As Tommy passes the bottom step of the stairs Michael tackles him from the step and they fall to the floor.
Tommy's keys fall beside them.The gun slides into the kitchen.
Tommy kicks Michael off of him.
Kara runs outside with Steven.
Michael falls back on the floor and Tommy rolls over,reaching for his keys.
Michael's burn scarred hand grabs the keys before Tommy can.
Tommy rolls over again,just as Michael slashes down at him with the knife.
The knife slams into the floor beside Tommy.
Tommy stands up and runs outside,shutting the door.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-TOMMY COMES OUT.
Kara is standing there with Steven.
TOMMY: He's got my keys.
KARA: My keys are inside.
TOMMY: What are we supposed to do then?
INT. THE HOUSE-THE LIVINGROOM-MICHAEL WALKS TO THE FRONT DOOR.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-THE FRONT DOOR OPENS AND MICHAEL STEPS OUT.
He walks down off the porch and looks to his right and then his left.
To his left,in the side yard,is Adam's bus.
INT. THE BUS-MICHAEL OPENS THE DOORS AND WALKS IN.
He goes up the steps and turns left,going down the aisle between the bus seats.
We watch him walk,then switch to a shot underneath a seat.
Kara is laying under the seat,Steven beside her.
She looks up as Michael's boots walk past just inches from her head.
We go to a shot under a seat across the aisle.Tommy lays under this seat,looking at Michael's boots and Kara and Steven across the aisle.
Michael's boots stop walking right beside Tommy's face.
Michael turns to the seat Kara and Steven are hiding under.
He slowly looks down.
MICHAEL'S P.O.V-STEVEN'S HAND IS LAYING ON THE FLOOR INFRONT OF THE SEAT.
Michael raises his knife.
Under the seat,Kara is looking at Michael's boots.
KARA: (whisper)What is he doing?
Suddenly the blade of the butcher knife rips through the seat,the tip of it coming just centimeters from Kara's nose.
Kara screams.
Michael raises his knife and stabs the seat again and again and again.
The knife rips through the seat,the tip of it coming extremely close to Kara's face every time.One time the tip actually slices her forehead.
Michael raises his knife to stab the seat again when Tommy tackles him from the side.
Tommy and Michael fall into the aisle.
Michael's knife skids down the aisle.
Tommy straddles Michael and punches him three times in the face.
Michael grabs Tommy by the throat with one hand and by the right cheek with the other hand.
Tommy screams as Michael begins to pull his cheek.
Michael's fingernails dig into Tommy's skin,drawing blood.
Tommy punches Michael in the face again.
Michael doesn't let go.The tips of his fingers begin to penetrate Tommy's skin.Tommy's blood runs down Michael's hand.
Tommy screams as Michael starts to rip his cheek open.
Before he can the butcher knife is slammed into his left hand by Kara.
Michael lets go of Tommy's face,shoving him backwards.
Tommy falls back into the aisle,face covered with blood.
Kara and Steven run out of the bus.
Michael stands up,pulling the knife out of his hand.It went in about an inch.
Tommy stands up.
TOMMY: Leave us alone,Michael.
Michael turns around,punching Tommy in the face.
EXT. THE BUS-NIGHT-TOMMY FLIES THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE BACK EXIT AND FALLS TO THE GROUND,GROANING.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-KARA AND STEVEN REACH THE FRONT DOOR.
Kara opens the door and they run inside.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-KARA AND STEVEN RUN THROUGH,INTO THE KITCHEN.
INT. THE KITCHEN-KARA AND STEVEN RUN IN.
Kara grabs her keys off of the counter.
They turn around run out of the room.
EXT. THE BUS-NIGHT-MICHAEL GETS OFF THE BUS,KNIFE IN HAND.
INT. THE HOUSE-KARA AND STEVEN RUN THROUGH THE LIVINGROOM.
They run through the doorway,going outside.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-AS KARA COMES OUT REX STEPS FROM BESIDE THE DOORWAY AND SLAMS THE BUTT OF THE SHOTGUN INTO HER FACE AGAIN.
Kara falls to the livingroom floor,groaning.
REX: Damn,that's fun.Come on,Steven.
STEVEN:No!
Rex picks Steven up and carries him toward his car,kicking and screaming.
EXT. THE BUS-NIGHT-TOMMY STANDS AS MICHAEL APPROACHES HIM.
TOMMY: You can't have him,Michael.You can't have Steven.
REX: (O.S.)Michael!
Michael turns around to see Rex throwing Steven into the backseat of the Camero.
REX: I have the child!
Michael turns around to face Tommy again.Tommy is gone.
Michael turns around to see the Camaro speed out of the driveway and onto the street.
NT. THE HOUSE-THE LIVINGROOM-KARA SITS UP,GROANING.
Tommy steps into the doorway.
TOMMY: Are you okay?
KARA: Yeah.
TOMMY: We have to go.
KARA: Where?
TOMMY: I'm guessing the Myers house.Rex took Steven so Michael can kill him.
KARA: I never should have left him.
TOMMY: You didn't know.We can't worry about that now.We have to save Steven.
Tommy looks back to see his Jeep back out of the driveway and drive onto the street.
TOMMY: Michael took my Jeep.We have to take your car.
EXT. THE MYERS HOUSE-NIGHT,SOON-REX'S CAMARO SPEEDS UP ACROSS THE FRONT YARD AND SKIDS TO A STOP JUST A COUPLE FEET FROM THE FRONT PORCH.THE CAMARO SHUTS OFF AND REX GETS OUT,CARRYING STEVEN AND HIS SHOTGUN.
He runs up onto the front porch and kicks the front door in.
STEVEN: (crying,screaming)Somebody help me!Please!
REX: Shut up!
Rex carries Steven into the house.
We pull back to a shot from across the street just in time to watch Michael drive Tommy's Jeep past the Myers house very slowly.
INT. THE MYERS HOUSE-REX CARRIES STEVEN INTO THE ROOM THAT WAS JUDITH'S,KNOCKING OVER TOMMY'S TELESCOPE.
He drops Steven,who is still crying,to floor.
REX: Would you shut up?!
Rex pulls off his trenchcoat,dropping it to the floor.
He reaches into one of the inside pockets and pulls out a syringe and a small bottle of liquid labelled:THORAZINE.It seems that he's going to tranquilize Steven just to make him keep quiet.
EXT. KARA'S CAR-NIGHT-IT SPEEDS DOWN A HADDONFIELD STREET.
INT. THE CAR-TOMMY IS DRIVING,HIS FACE STILL COVERED WITH BLOOD. KARA IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT CRYING.
KARA: I shouldn't have left him.I knew I shouldn't have gone out tonight.
TOMMY: Kara,stop talking like that!You didn't know,I didn't know.What's done is done.It's over. All we have to worry about now is reaching Steven before Michael does.
KARA: Do you have any weapons or anything?Other than the .357?
TOMMY: I had weapons in my Jeep.So now I guess Michael has 'em.
KARA: Great.What did you have?
TOMMY: A machete and a .45.
KARA: Well,Michael won't use the .45 but he might like the machete.Why did you have it?
TOMMY: I had a thought,but you don't wanna know what it was.....It's disgusting.
KARA: What was it?
TOMMY: Well,I thought up a scenario in my mind but when everything started to happen it was totally different than I originally thought.But,in my mind scenes I saw myself possibly decapitating Michael......Probably not now,though.
EXT. THE MYERS HOUSE-NIGHT-WE SEE THAT THE LANTERN IS ON IN JUDITH'S ROOM AGAIN.
INT. THE HOUSE-JUDITH'S ROOM-REX IS STANDING INFRONT OF THE WINDOW, LOOKING OUT,THE LANTERN ON THE DESK BESIDE HIM.
REX: Come on,Michael.Hurry up.
Steven is laying in the corner,asleep.(Maybe the audience will think he's dead?)
Offscreen,downstairs,we hear a loud thump.
Rex smiles.
REX: Here comes the pain.
Rex turns and walks out of the room,taking his shotgun with him.
INT. THE HALL-REX WALKS DOWN THE HALL,LOOKING AROUND.
REX: Michael?Michael?
Rex reaches the stairs.
(Even though this character actually wants Michael to find him,this sequence can still be scary because we know that Michael doesn't care if Rex worships him or not, he's just another idiot in the way.)
Rex starts down the stairs to the first floor.
INT. THE STAIRWAY-REX WALKS DOWN SLOW,TRYING TO BE LIKE MIKE.
Rex reaches the bottom of the stairs and looks around.
REX: Michael?
Rex turns and walks into the livingroom.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-AS REX ENTERS THE LIVINGROOM WE SEE MICHAEL IN THE BACKGROUND AS HE STEPS OUT OF THE ROOM ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STAIRS.
Rex walks through the livingroom.
REX: Come on,Michael.We have to do this quick.
Michael steps into the doorway to the livingroom behind Rex,holding a machete.
Rex senses him and turns around.
Rex smiles when he sees Michael.
REX: My Lord.The child is upstairs.I gave him so Thorazine to shut him up,but he's still alive.I delivered him to you.I've devoted my life to you.I....I want to show you.......
Rex lays his shotgun down on the old cobweb covered couch beside him and takes his hat off,then pulls his shirt off.We now see just how wacky Rex is.All over his chest, stomach,sides,and back the name MICHAEL is carved,along with strange symbols.
REX: I branded myself for you.
Carved into Rex's forehead,where the hat once concealed,is 666.
REX: You are everything.The alpha,the omega.
Rex walks toward Michael,a huge smile on his face.
REX: After you kill Steven I want you to come to Texas with me.Your mission will be over.In Texas I have followers that worship you.Oh,they're not like Wynn's cult.No Thorn, no Druidic references at all.Everyone is just devoted to you.We'll treat you like a king,because you are our king.
Rex stands infront of Michael,arms stretched wide to each side.
REX: Will you come with me?
Michael reaches toward Rex with his left hand.
A tear rolls down Rex's cheek.He's HAPPY.
Michael cups the right side of Rex's head,as if in a loving gesture.This is all wrong.
Rex reaches up and places his hand on Michael's.
REX: (tears streaming down his face)Thank you.Oh,thank you,god.
The mood changes quickly.Michael slams the machete into Rex's stomach so far the blade rips from his back.
A surprised look washes over Rex's face,blood running from his mouth.
REX: (gagged)Why?
Michael shoves Rex's head to the side hard,breaking his neck with a loud CRACK!
Rex's limp body falls to the floor.
Michael turns toward the stairs,leaving the machete in the body.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-KARA'S CAR SPEEDS ACROSS THE YARD AND STOPS RIGHT BESIDE REX'S CAMARO.
INT. THE HOUSE-THE CAR'S HEADLIGHTS SHINE THROUGH THE WINDOW IN THE DOOR AS MICHAEL BEGINS TO GO UPSTAIRS.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-KARA AND TOMMY GET OUT OF THE CAR AND RUN TOWARD THE HOUSE.TOMMY HAS HIS .357.
TOMMY: Steven!
Tommy reaches the door first and opens it.
INT. THE HOUSE-TOMMY AND KARA ENTER.
KARA: Where is he?
TOMMY: My lantern was on up in Judith's room.
Tommy looks into the livingroom.
TOMMY: Wait.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-TOMMY AND KARA WALK IN,STEPPING OVER REX'S BODY.TOMMY GOES TO THE COUCH AND PICKS THE SHOTGUN UP.
TOMMY: Michael's already in the house.Here.
Tommy hands the .357 to Kara and keeps the shotgun for himself.
INT. THE STAIRWAY-SOON-TOMMY AND KARA START UP.
INT. THE UPSTAIRS HALLWAY-MICHAEL IS WALKING DOWN THE HALL TOWARD JUDITH'S ROOM.
INT. THE STAIRWAY-TOMMY AND KARA COME UP.
INT. THE HALL-MICHAEL WALKS INTO JUDITH'S ROOM.HE SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND HIM.
INT. THE HALL-TOMMY AND KARA REACH THE TOP STEP AND START DOWN THE HALLWAY.
INT. JUDITH'S ROOM-MICHAEL WALKS IN.
Steven is asleep in the corner.
As Michael crosses the room his slowly pulls his trademark butcher knife from a pocket in the mechanic's uniform.
MICHAEL'S P.O.V-OUR BREATHING FILLS THE SOUNDTRACK AS WE APPROACH STEVEN.WE SEE THIS THROUGH EYE HOLES IN THE MASK,LIKE EARLIER WHEN WE SAW THE FLASHBACK FROM PART 1 WHEN MICHAEL KILLED JUDITH.
We switch to a shot infront of Michael and Steven.
Michael is about five feet from Steven.
INT. THE HALL-TOMMY AND KARA REACH THE DOOR TO JUDITH'S ROOM AND OPEN IT,GOING IN.
INT. THE ROOM-MICHAEL IS GONE.STEVEN IS SLEEPING IN THE CORNER.
KARA: He's alright!
Kara rushes over to Steven and kneels down beside him,shaking him awake.
KARA: Steven?Steven,wake up.
Steven groans,opening his eyes,groggy.
STEVEN: What,mommy?
Tommy opens the door to the room that was once Michael's,looking in.(Remember, Michael and Judith's rooms both have doors in the hall,but they're also connected.)
INT. MICHAEL'S ROOM-TOMMY STEPS IN.
The room is empty.Tommy looks around,then goes back into Judith's room,shutting the door.
INT. JUDITH'S ROOM-TOMMY COMES BACK IN.
Kara and Steven are still on the floor in the corner.
TOMMY: You stay here with Steven.
KARA: Where are you going?
TOMMY: I'm going downstairs to find Michael.
KARA: Tommy,why don't we just leave?
TOMMY: This has to end sometime,Kara.I want it to end tonight.You have the .357.If he tries to break in,shoot him.He'll fall down long enough for me to run upstairs.
Tommy goes into the hallway,shutting the door behind him.
KARA: Crazy asshole.
INT. THE HALLWAY-TOMMY WALKS DOWN THE HALL,OPENING THE DOORS IN THE HALL AND LOOKING IN ON HIS WAY.
After a few seconds he reaches the stairs and starts down them.
INT. THE STAIRWAY-TOMMY REACHES THE BOTTOM AND WALKS INTO THE LIVINGROOM.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-TOMMY ENTERS,STEPPING OVER REX'S BODY.
He moves slowly and quietly through the livingroom,looking around.
He walks into the kitchen.
INT. THE KITCHEN-TOMMY ENTERS,SLOW AND QUIET.
Tommy walks across the kitchen,looking toward the back door.
Then we hear a scraping sound.
Tommy looks away from the back door and looks toward a cabinet on the wall
Tommy walks to the cabinet the scraping sound is coming from opens it.
Three rats fall out of the cabinet,falling onto the kitchen counter and running away. It's like the classic cat fake out with a different animal.
Tommy steps back quickly,surprised by the rats.
Then he walks to the cabinet and looks in to see what the scraping noise is.A rat has been caught in a mousetrap,the trap is slammed down on it's middle and it's innards are hanging out.It's still alive,though,and is dragging itself and the trap forward with's it's front legs.
We look at Tommy's face as he groans.
TOMMY: Damn.
Michael slowly appears out of the darkness behind Tommy,knife in hand.
MICHAEL'S P.O.V-WE WALK TOWARD TOMMY,BREATHING HARD.
Tommy turns around just in time to see Michael three feet from him.
He raises the shotgun and pulls the trigger but it won't fire.(Audience members can make of this what they will.They might think the shotgun's empty but the truth is Rex never pumped out the empty shell after he shot Adam.)
TOMMY: Shit!
Michael goes to slam the butcher knife into Tommy's left side but Tommy anticipates this. He drops the shotgun and grabs Michael's wrist.
TOMMY: You're predictable,you fuck!
Tommy grabs Michael's arm with both hands and slams it down onto the counter.
Michael drops the knife and Tommy lets go of his arm.
Tommy turns just in time to catch Michael's left fist with his chin.
Blood bursts up out of Tommy's mouth,covering his face.
Michael grabs Tommy by the throat and turns around,throwing him across the room.
Tommy hits the wall and falls back onto the kitchen table,causing it to collapse.
Tommy lays on the broken table,motionless.
Michael grabs his knife off the counter and walks out of the room.
INT. JUDITH'S ROOM-KARA AND STEVEN ARE NOW STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM.
Steven is holding on to Kara's leg,fully aware now.
STEVEN: I'm scared,mommy.
KARA: So am I,honey.
STEVEN: Where did daddy go?
KARA: He went to kill the boogeyman.
STEVEN: You can't kill the boogeyman.
Suddenly Michael's fist explodes through the door to the hall.
Steven and Kara scream.
Michael's top half rips through the top half of the door and he leans in,knife in hand.
Kara pulls Steven behind her,raising the .357.
She fires until there's only one bullet left.
Three bullets hit beside Michael,the others hit him in the right side.
Michael falls back out of the door,into the hall.
Kara turns to Steven.
KARA: Stay right here.Don't move.
Steven obeys and Kara turns and walks to the door.
She looks through the hole Michael made.
KARA'S P.O.V-MICHAEL IS NOT THE HALL.
KARA: Shit.
The door to Michael's room swings open and Michael steps into Judith's room.
STEVEN: Mommy!
Steven runs to Kara.
Kara opens the door to the hall and shoves Steven out.
KARA: Run,Steven!Go find your father!
Steven runs down the hall.
Kara turns around to face Michael and he slashes her across the chest with his knife.
She stumbles back into the doorway,raising the gun and shooting him point blank in the right shoulder.
Michael stumbles back,dropping his knife.
Kara pulls the trigger to fire again but the gun clicks empty.
KARA: Fuck.
Michael steps forward,grabbing Kara by the throat.
Kara gags,clubbing Michael on the head with the empty gun.
Michael lifts her up and slams her against the wall,causing her to drop the gun.
Her feet dangle at his shins.This is exactly what he did to Brooke.
Kara pounds on his face but it doesn't stop him.
Her face turns bright red and she begins to gag.
Finally,she grabs the bottom of his mask and pulls up,pulling it off his head.
Michael lets go of her,stumbling back,holding his face.
Kara and the mask fall to the floor.
She throws it toward him,looking up at him.
Michael takes his hands away from his face and looks at her.We get the best look at his face we've ever gotten since he was 6.
The left side of his face is virtually unscarred,except for some gashes Tommy made with the lead pipe in Part 6 and the scar tissue above his eye from the gunshot wound made by Laurie in Part 2.But the right side of his face is another story.There are cuts from the pipe,scar tissue above the eye,and his cheek is like a patchwork quilt because there's areas of regular skin and areas of hideous burns from the explosion at the end of Part 2.
Kara stands up slowly as Michael looks at her.
Michael bends down and picks up his mask.
Kara turns and runs into the hall.
Michael pulls his mask back on.He bends over and picks his knife up.
Then he walks out of the room.
INT. THE HALL-MICHAEL WALKS DOWN THE HALL TOWARD THE STAIRS.
INT. THE KITCHEN-STEVEN IS KNEELING BESIDE TOMMY,SHAKING HIM,CRYING.
STEVEN: Daddy,wake up.Please,wake up.
INT. THE UPSTAIRS HALL-MICHAEL IS ALMOST TO THE STAIRS WHEN SOMETHING BESIDE HIM CATCHES HIS EYE.
The door to the room that was once John and Debra Strode's (in Part 6) is opened about three inches.
Michael turns to the door and pushes it open.
INT. THE ROOM-MICHAEL ENTERS.
In the ceiling of the room is a small door to the attic.That door his been pulled down and the ladder attached to the inside of it has been pulled down,too.
Michael walks to the ladder and looks up into the attic.
We pull across the room to a closed door.
We zoom into the keyhole in the door just under the knob.
Through the keyhole we can see Kara crouching down on the floor of a closet.
INT. THE CLOSET-KARA IS CROUCHING ON THE FLOOR,TRYING TO BREATHE QUIETLY.
We hear Michael's footsteps as he walks around in the room.
Kara closes her eyes.
KARA: (very quiet whisper)Please God.
Michael continues to walk.
Kara opens her eyes.
KARA: (very quiet)What is he doing?
She looks down and sees the shadows of Michael's feet under the door as he steps infront of the door.
Kara closes her eyes again.
KARA'S P.O.V-DARKNESS.
KARA'S MIND:(V.O.)Please God,don't let him get me now.
KARA'S P.O.V-WE OPEN OUR EYES AND LOOK DOWN.MICHAEL'S FEET ARE NO LONGER INFRONT OF THE DOOR.
Kara smiles.
Suddenly the blade of the butcher knife slams through the door,coming in about halfway.
Kara screams.
The blade pulls out but is then slammed in again and again.
Kara reaches up and grabs a hanger off the curtain rod.
The blade stops when it's been slammed through the door seven times.
There's silence from the other side of the door as Kara unwraps the wire hanger like Laurie did in Part 1.
When she gets the hanger fully unwrapped the butcher knife blade slams through the door just inches infront of her face.
Kara stands and opens the door a crack.
The blade pulls out of the door.
Kara kicks the door open hard.
INT. THE BEDROOM-MICHAEL STUMBLES BACK FROM THE DOOR AND KARA RUNS OUT,SCREAMING.
She slams the wire hanger into the side of Michael's neck.
Michael drops his knife,stumbling back against the wall.
He grabs the hanger and jerks it out of his neck.
Blood splurts out of the hole the hanger made a few times.
Kara bends down and picks up the butcher knife.
Michael steps toward her and she stands up,slamming the knife into his left side.
Michael falls back against the wall,then slides down the wall until he's sitting on the floor with his back leaning on the wall.
He weakly reaches over and slowly pulls the knife out of his side.
When he gets the knife out he drops it to the floor then falls over sideways.
Kara sighs,turning away from him.
She walks slowly and weakly toward the door,exhausted.
Behind her Michael sits up straight,then stands.
When Kara is five feet from the door to the hall Michael begins to walk toward her, knife in hand.
When she reaches the doorway he's only a step behind.
KARA'S P.O.V-THANKS TO THE MOONLIGHT SHINING THROUGH THE WINDOW WE CAN SEE OUR (KARA'S) SHADOW ON THE HALLWAY FLOOR AND MICHAEL'S SHADOW HOLDING THE KNIFE BEHIND US.
We switch to a shot beside them.
Kara turns around Michael grabs her by the throat,slamming her against the wall.
He lifts her,sliding her back up the wall.He's doing to her what he did to Bob in Part 1.
He raises the knife to stab her.
He slams the knife forward.
Kara closes her eyes.
There's a loud BOOM! and blood sprays onto Kara's face.
She falls to the floor.
Michael stumbles away from her,knife still in hand.
Kara looks up at him.
Blood is pouring from a ragged wound on Michael's right shoulder.
Kara looks toward the doorway.
Tommy is standing there,holding Rex's shotgun.
He pumps the empty shell out and steps forward.
Michael watches him.
Tommy fires again and Michael stumbles back.Tommy pumps the empty shell out, steps forward.
Tommy fires again and Michael stumbles again.Tommy pumps the empty shell out, steps forward.
Tommy fires again and Michael stumbles again.Tommy pumps the empty shell out, steps forward.Michael drops his knife.
Tommy fires again and Michael stumbles back against the window,cracking it.Tommy pumps the empty shell out and steps forward.
He pulls the trigger again and the shotgun clicks empty.
TOMMY: Shit!
On the side of the shotgun the three shells are still strapped there.
Tommy grabs one and tries to shove it in as quick as he can but he does it wrong and the shell gets jammed in the hole.
TOMMY: Damn it!
Michael steps forward and grabs Tommy by the throat.
Tommy slams the shotgun barrel into Michael's stomach and Michael pulls him forward hard.
Tommy groans as his chest is slammed against the butt of the shotgun.
The shotgun is now holding them apart.
Michael tries to pull him forward but the shotgun won't let Tommy get any closer.
Tommy reaches down and fumbles with the lodged shell,trying to unjam it.
Michael lets go of Tommy's throat and grabs him by the shoulders,trying to pull him forward this way.
Tommy slams Michael back against the window,cracking it even more.
Tommy keeps trying to get the shotgun shell unjammed.
TOMMY: Come on,come on.
He finally gets it pushed in.
Tommy smiles.
He shoves Michael back harder into the window,causing it to shatter at the top,raining glass down on them.
TOMMY: Fuck you,boogeyman.
Michael grabs the shotgun with both hands.
Tommy fires.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-MICHAEL FLIES BACK THROUGH THE WINDOW ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE,PULLING THE SHOTGUN WITH HIM.
Michael falls twenty feet to the side yard,onto a sidewalk leading to the back of the house.
INT. THE HOUSE-TOMMY STEPS BACK AWAY FROM THE WINDOWFRAME, SMILING.
TOMMY: Son of a bitch.
Tommy turns around.
Kara is just now standing up.
KARA: That's it.I'm moving out of this fucking town.
TOMMY: Are you alright?
KARA: Yeah.Throat hurts,is all.How about you?
TOMMY: Throat hurts,chest hurts,back hurts,legs hurt,mouth really hurts,face hurts,arms hurt. I'll live.
KARA: (smiles)That's as good as it gets,right?
TOMMY: (smiles)I guess.
Steven walks in,looking around.
STEVEN: Where's the boogeyman?
TOMMY:He's dead.
STEVEN: How do you know?
TOMMY: I killed him.
STEVEN: (smiles)For real?
TOMMY: For real.
Kara picks Steven up and hugs him,kissing him.
KARA: I love you,baby.I'll never leave you alone again.
STEVEN: I hope not.I hate Halloween.
KARA: So do I,honey.So do I.
Tommy is standing off to the side,not sure what to do.
He looks at his watch.
TOMMY'S P.O.V-THE TIME CHANGES TO 12:00 A.M. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 1ST,2000.
Tommy looks up at Kara and Steven.
TOMMY: Halloween is over.
Kara looks over at Tommy.
KARA: Check.
TOMMY: Check on what?
KARA: Make sure he's dead.
Tommy turns around and walks to the windowframe.
He looks down to where Michael landed.
TOMMY'S P.O.V-THE ONLY THING ON THE SIDEWALK NOW IS THE SHOTGUN AND A PUDDLE OF MICHAEL'S BLOOD.
We look at Tommy as a look of fear and dread washes over his face.
TOMMY: Oh,shit.
KARA: What?
Tommy leans against the wall beside the broken window and starts to cry.
TOMMY: He's gone.
Tommy slides down the wall,crying.He stops when he's sitting on the floor.
TOMMY: He's gone.Michael's gone.He's alive.
The Halloween theme begins to play.
WE SEE A MONTAGE OF LOCATIONS FROM THE MOVIE.
EXT. KARA'S HOUSE-NIGHT.
EXT. ADAM'S HOUSE-NIGHT.
EXT. SHONDRA'S HOUSE-NIGHT.
INT. THE BLOODY HALLWAY IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
Michael's loud breathing can be heard along with the Halloween theme.
EXT. THE MYERS HOUSE-NIGHT.
FADE OUT.
THE END CREDITS PLAY.THE HALLOWEEN THEME PLAYS UNTIL THE CAST NAMES HAVE ROLLED UP.THEN,"SKELETON IN THE CLOSET" BY LOUIS ARMSTRONG BEGINS TO PLAY AND CONTINUES TO PLAY THROUGHOUT THE CREDITS UNTIL-----
