EXT. THE SHERIFF'S CRUISER-NIGHT-IT DRIVES DOWN A HADDONFIELD STREET.
INT. THE CRUISER-ZIMMERMAN IS DRIVING,JASPER IS RIDING SHOTGUN,ASLEEP. A SPIDERMAN COMIC IS OPEN,LAYING ON HIS CHEST.
The C.B. crackles to life,waking Jasper up.
Jasper sits up,looking around.
CB: Sheriff Zimmerman,come in Sheriff Zimmerman.
Zimmerman grabs the C.B.
ZIMMERMAN: Zimmerman here.
CB: Sheriff,we just got a call in from Mister Chad Edward Murray.He says his wife,Misses Trina Louise Murray has not returned home from work yet.She's the kindergarten teacher at Haddonfield Elementary.He requested that we send a unit to the school to check to see if she's still there and you're the closest car to the school.Do you want to take it?
ZIMMERMAN: Uh,yeah,sure,Mable.Jasper and I'll check it out.
EXT. THE CRUISER-NIGHT-IT TURNS DOWN A STREET.
INT. ADAM'S HOUSE-THE LIVINGROOM-SHONDRA,SETH,BROOKE,AND KYLE ARE SITTING ON THE COUCH EATING POPCORN AND WATCHING NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.RIGHT NOW RUSS STREINER IS DOING HIS "HE'S COMING TO GET YOU, BARBARA" BIT.
As we look at the teens we see the kitchen door open slowly in the blurry background. Michael enters,shutting the door softly behind him.
INT. ODIE'S PLACE-KARA WALKS UP TO THE PAY PHONE.
INT. ADAM'S HOUSE-THE LIVINGROOM-AS THE TEENS WATCH NOTLD MICHAEL STANDS IN THE DOORWAY BETWEEN THE LIVINGROOM AND THE KITCHEN, WATCHING THEM.
There's silence except for NOTLD's music for a while,then the phone rings.
Shondra grabs the TV remote and pushes MUTE,turning the sound off.
SHONDRA: You three be quiet.This is probably Kara.
Shondra grabs the portable phone that's beside her and answers.
SHONDRA: Hello?
INT. ODIE'S PLACE-KARA IS ON THE PHONE.
KARA: Is everything alright?
INT. ADAM'S KITCHEN-MICHAEL WALKS OUT OF THE DOORWAY.
We see Brooke stand up and walk toward the kitchen.
She walks in,looking around.
Michael has left the room.As Brooke walks in we notice Kyle's hay hook laying on the kitchen table.
Brooke walks to the fridge and opens it.
She leans in and pulls out a pop.
We see Michael standing in the other doorway in the room,the doorway to the exercise room.Michael is holding his butcher knife.
INT. THE EXERCISE ROOM-MICHAEL IS WATCHING BROOKE.THIS EXERCISE ROOM CONSISTS OF A TANNING BED,A TREADMILL,AND A FITNESS FLYER.
Brooke shuts the fridge and walks back into the livingroom.
EXT. HADDONFIELD ELEMENTARY-NIGHT-ZIMMERMAN'S CRUISER PULLS INTO THE PARKING LOT.THE ONLY OTHER VEHICLES IN THE PARKING LOT ARE BUZZ AND TRINA'S.
INT. THE CRUISER-ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER LOOK AT THE VEHICLES.
JASPER: A couple people are still here.
EXT. THE CRUISER-NIGHT-IT SHUTS OFF AND ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER GET OUT.
They walk toward the school.
INT. ADAM'S LIVINGROOM-THE TEENS WATCH AS DUANE JONES TELLS THE STORY OF BEAKMAN'S DINER.
INT. THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER ENTER,INTO A LOBBY. IN THE LOBBY YOU CAN EITHER GO RIGHT DOWN A HALL OR LEFT DOWN A SMALL FLIGHT OF STAIRS TO THE KINDERGARTEN CLASS.ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER HEAD LEFT WITHOUT EVEN GLANCING RIGHT.
INT. ADAM'S LIVINGROOM-AS DUANE JONES AND MARILYN EASTMAN MEET THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN HIDING IN THE CELLAR BROOKE SLOWLY RUBS HER HAND UP KYLE'S THIGH.
Kyle looks over at her.Shondra and Seth keep watching the movie,oblivious.
KYLE: (whisper)What?
BROOKE: (whisper)Let's go.
KYLE: (whisper)Where?
BROOKE: (whisper)Somewhere private.
KYLE: (nods)Alright.
Kyle and Brooke stand up.
BROOKE: We've gotta go.
Seth and Shondra look up at them.
SHONDRA: Why?
BROOKE: I just realized how late it is.Nine o'clock.I have to be home by nine-thirty.
SHONDRA: Oh.Okay.We'll see you tomorrow,I guess.
SETH: Yeah,see ya.
KYLE: Bye.
Kyle and Brooke walk into the kitchen.
INT. THE KITCHEN-KYLE AND BROOKE WALK THROUGH.
As they pass the table we see that Kyle's hay hook is gone.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-KYLE AND BROOKE COME OUT THE BACK DOOR.THEY SHUT THE DOOR AND WALK ACROSS THE PORCH.
KYLE: Where are we goin'?
BROOKE: I was thinkin' the barn.
KYLE: The barn?There's like mice and shit in there.
BROOKE: I know but it'll be a rush.
They stop walking and look at eachother.
KYLE: How will it be a rush?
BROOKE: Don't you see,Kyle?It's Halloween in Haddonfield,Illinois.We're a couple of horny, sexually active teenagers.We're going to go into a dark barn in the country to have sex.Isn't that like the coolest,dumbest thing you've ever heard.At any time during our throes of passion Michael could come in and butcher us.Pretty cool,huh?
KYLE: (smiles)Yeah,I guess it is.
They continue walking,going down the steps to the ground.
When they reach the bottom of the steps and get to the ground,Michael stands up from beside the steps,where he had been bending down hiding.
INT. HADDONFIELD ELEMENTARY-ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER WALK DOWN A HALLWAY TO THE KINDERGARTEN CLASS DOORS.
Zimmerman opens the doors.
INT. THE KINDERGARTEN CLASS-ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER ENTER.
JASPER: Good god.
ZIMMERMAN: Holy shit.
Zimmerman and Jasper look around and we get to see what shocked them so much.
Papers are scattered all around the room.Blood covers a third of the floor,blood from Buzz's mop bucket and Trina's head.Trina's body is not in this room.One particular paper is stuck to Trina's desk with a bloody butcher knife.
Jasper walks to the desk while Zimmerman inspects a couple of papers off the kids' table.As Jasper reaches the desk he almost slips in the blood on the floor but catches his balance.
Jasper looks down at the paper,curious.
JASPER'S P.O.V-THE PAPER IS A DRAWING OF A FAMILY DONE IN CRAYON.THE NAME WRITTEN ON THE TOP OF THE PAPER TELLS WHO DREW THE PICTURE: STEVEN STRODE.THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE HAVE THEIR NAMES WRITTEN RIGHT UNDER THEIR FEET.THERE ARE: DADDY TOMMY, MOMMY KARA, ADAM, STEVEN. THE BLADE OF THE BUTCHER KNIFE HAS BEEN SLAMMED RIGHT INTO THE PICTURE OF STEVEN'S STOMACH.
JASPER: Damn.
ZIMMERMAN: (O.S.)What've you got,Jasper?
JASPER: (looks offscreen)A picture of Steven Strode's family with a knife slammed into the picture of Steven.How about you?
Zimmerman is standing at the table,holding a stack of school papers.
ZIMMERMAN: All the papers thrown around this room were done by Steven Strode.And then there's that shit over there.
Zimmerman points toward the blackboard and we turn to see what he's pointing at.There,on the blackboard,written in blood,just like in Part 2,is the word SAMHAIN.
JASPER: What does that mean?
ZIMMERMAN: I have no idea.
INT. THE LOBBY-ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER WALK IN.
JASPER: Somebody's obviously dead.I mean,that blood had to come from somewhere.
ZIMMERMAN: I know.
Zimmerman looks toward the doors to the other hall.He stops walking and uses his arm to stop Jasper.
JASPER: What?
Zimmerman walks to the doors and opens them.
INT. THE HALL-ZIMMERMAN AND JASPER ENTER.
JASPER: This is way fucked.
ZIMMERMAN: Tell me about it.
We see the hallway ahead of us.From just infront of the doors to the lobby all the way down to the middle of the hall there is a large trail of blood,like a couple bodies were dragged down the hall.Every fluorescent light in the hall except for the one exactly in the middle have been shattered.The one in the middle is unshattered and still on,but the light it casts is a dark pinkish/ red.That is because the plastic covering of the light is covered with blood,which is seeping down through the cracks between the covering and the ceiling,falling to the floor.
Zimmerman and Jasper walk down the hall,pulling out their guns.
JASPER: This is beginning to spook me,man.
ZIMMERMAN: Atleast I'm not alone.
Zimmerman and Jasper reach the light and look up.Beside them is a table.
JASPER: What the hell?
Zimmerman looks to his left and sees half of Buzz's broken mop leaning against the wall. He sits his gun down on the table and grabs the mop,handing it to Jasper.When Jasper takes the mop Zimmerman grabs his gun again.(Because,remember,Zimmerman only has one good arm.)
Jasper reaches toward the plastic covering of the light with the mop.
He reaches it,and uses the mop to pushes the covering up a couple inches,causing the blood to flow even more.Suddenly,the plastic covering shatters and blood and two bodies rain down on Jasper,knocking him to the floor.
Zimmerman jumps back on the table to avoid the splatter.
Jasper scrambles in the blood,trying to get up,but slips and falls down.
He lands right on top of Trina's body,coming face-to-face with her.Her mouth is wide open and so are her eyes.
Jasper screams and uses the table to climb to his feet.
JASPER: Fuck!!
ZIMMERMAN: We've gotta find Steven Strode quick.
JASPER: I need to change my fuckin' clothes quick.
INT. ADAM'S BARN-KYLE AND BROOKE ENTER.THE BARN IS VERY DARK.
Kyle reaches toward the light switch beside the door but Brooke stops him.
BROOKE: No.No lights.
KYLE: Why not?
BROOKE: It's even spookier.Besides,if we turned the light on Shondra would see it from the house.
KYLE: Yeah,I guess that's right.
Kyle is staring at Brooke's breasts.(Remember,Elvira has huge breasts.)He has a huge grin on his face.
Brooke looks down at her breasts,then back up at Kyle.
BROOKE: You like these?
Brooke reaches into her dress and pulls out a couple pairs of rolled-up socks.
Kyle's grin goes away.
KYLE: You just have to ruin the moment,don't you?
BROOKE: Sorry.
INT. THE HOUSE-THE LIVINGROOM-SETH AND SHONDRA ARE STILL WATCHING NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.IT IS NOW AT THE PART WHERE THE CHARACTERS OF TOM AND JUDY ARE KILLED WHEN THEIR PICKUP EXPLODES.
EXT. THE SHERIFF'S CRUISER-NIGHT-IT SPEEDS DOWN A HADDONFIELD STREET, LIGHTS AND SIRENS ON.
INT. THE BARN-BROOKE GRABS A BOOMBOX OFF A TABLE NEAR THE DOOR.
BROOKE: We can listen to some tunes,though.
Brooke turns,thinking Kyle is behind her.
BROOKE: Kyle?Where'd you go now?
KYLE: (O.S.)Up here.
Brooke looks up and sees that Kyle is standing in the hay loft,looking down at her.
KYLE: Come on up.
BROOKE: Alright.
Brooke goes over to the ladder to the hay loft,carrying the boom box.
NT. THE HAY LOFT-KYLE LOOKS DOWN AT THE FLOOR TWENTY FEET BELOW.
KYLE: It's pretty cool up here,Brooke.This was a good idea to come in here.
Michael steps up behind Kyle.
Kyle senses something and turns around,coming face-to-neck with Michael.
Kyle looks up at Michael's face.
KYLE: Oh,fuck.
Kyle turns to run but Michael makes a lightning quick motion.In his hands Michael is holding a small strand of barbed wire.He wraps this around Kyle's neck and twists. The barbed wire slices deep into Kyle's throat.
Michael raises Kyle up with the barbed wire and turns,hanging him over the edge of the hay loft.
Kyle's legs shake and quick as the life drains from him.Michael lets go of the wire, letting the body drop twenty feet to the floor.
Elsewhere in the hay loft,Brooke puts the boombox on a stack of hay and turns it on. "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" by Smashing Pumpkins is playing.
Brooke sits down on a haystack and pulls her high heel shoes off,rubbing her barefeet.
Michael steps into a small walkway between stacks of hay.
Brooke looks up at him.
BROOKE: Kyle,why do you always have to screw around?Where'd you get that mask anyway?
Michael walks toward Brooke."I'm Your Boogeyman" by White Zombie begins to play.
Brooke watches him.
BROOKE: So,you wanna be Michael Myers,huh?Well,come on over here,boogeyman.
Brooke stands and Michael walks over to her.
Brooke wraps her arms around his neck,kissing him.
BROOKE: I love you,Kyle.Even if you are an asshole.
Brooke looks up at Michael's emotionless face.
BROOKE: You're really getting into this,aren't you?Well,wanna know a secret?
Brooke rubs her hand on Michael's chest.
BROOKE: Michael Myers has always turned me on.Ever since I was five and he came to town in '89 I've just been obsessed with him.You should've seen my diary when I was about ten or eleven.It was all about how I planned to marry Michael Myers,how I was going to be the one to change his murderous ways and have him become the perfect suburban husband and father.(laughs,looks up at Michael's face)What do you think about that?
Brooke licks Michael's lips.
This is the thing that sends Michael off.He grabs her by the throat and slams her against the wall.The Halloween music doesn't take over,but "I'm Your Boogeyman" gets louder.If this scene has been too long for the song to play throughout,then we'll just have to loop it like they did with the song "Hush" by Kula Shaker for the final credits of the movie I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER.
Michael holds Brooke against the wall,strangling her,squeezing her throat as hard as he can.Her feet dangle at his knees,he has her up so.Brooke's face turns bright red. She hits his arms,chest,and face with her arms.Kicks his legs with her feet.This doesn't stop Michael.After a while,Brooke finally goes limp,dead.
Michael is still really pissed.He takes Brooke's body and throws it to the side, right onto the forks of a pitchfork that is hanging on the wall.The forks go into Brooke's back and rip through her stomach.
Michael flips over haystacks,mad as hell.He grabs the boombox and flings it over the side of the haystack.
INT. THE HOUSE-THE LIVINGROOM-THE FINAL CREDITS OF NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ARE PLAYING.
Seth and Shondra stand up.
SETH: So this is my cue to leave?
SHONDRA: Yep.
SETH: Did you like the movie?
SHONDRA: Ofcourse.It's a classic.
Shondra goes to the VCR and ejects the tape.She pulls it out and hands it to Seth.
SETH:So,how about a date for tomorrow?DAWN and DAY,tomorrow night,no Brooke, no Kyle.
SHONDRA: Sounds good.
Shondra walks up to Seth and wraps her arms around his neck.
SHONDRA: I'm sorry,Seth.
SETH: It's alright.I mean,I understand.It's good money.
SHONDRA: That's not what I'm talking about.I'm talking about.....(looks down,looks back up)The sex issue.I'll be ready soon.
SETH: You don't have to rush yourself.It doesn't really matter.
Michael is watching through a window.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-SETH COMES OUT THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR,SHUTTING IT BEHIND HIM.
He walks across the front yard and to the street.
EXT. THE STREET-NIGHT-SETH WALKS DOWN THE STREET,LOOKING AT THE THREE VIDEOTAPES IN HIS HAND.ON EITHER SIDE OF THE STREET IS A CORNFIELD.
Suddenly,the corn beside Seth rustles.
Seth stops and looks over toward it.
SETH: Kyle?Is that you?
Michael steps out of the corn,holding Kyle's hay hook.
INT. ADAM'S HOUSE-SHONDRA IS ON THE PHONE.
SHONDRA: So you're on your way home now?(pause)Alright.See you in fifteen minutes.Bye.
Shondra turns the phone off,then gets up and walks toward the stairs to the second floor.
INT. THE KITCHEN-MICHAEL OPENS THE DOOR AND COMES IN,HOLDING HIS BUTCHER KNIFE IN HIS RIGHT HAND.
INT. THE STAIRWAY-SHONDRA REACHES THE TOP STEP.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-MICHAEL WALKS THROUGH.
INT. THE UPSTAIRS HALL-SHONDRA WALKS TOWARD ADAM'S BEDROOM.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-MICHAEL STOPS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LAST STEP, LOOKING UPSTAIRS.
INT. ADAM'S ROOM-STEVEN IS IN BED,SLEEPING.
Shondra is standing in the doorway,looking at him.
SHONDRA: Sweet dreams,kid.
She turns away from the door and goes back the way she came.
INT. THE STAIRWAY-SHONDRA GOES DOWNSTAIRS.MICHAEL IS NO LONGER AT THE BOTTOM STEP.
As she reaches the bottom step the front doorbell dings three times.
Shondra stops and looks at the door.
The doorbell dings again and Shondra walks to the door.
SHONDRA: Who is it?
No answer.
SHONDRA: Hello?Is anybody there?
Still no answer.Shondra looks through the small peephole in the door.
SHONDRA'S P.O.V-NOTHING CAN BE SEEN THROUGH THE PEEPHOLE EXCEPT FOR THE TREE BEYOND THE PORCH AND THE SHEET GHOST HANGING FROM IT,SWINGING IN THE WIND.
Shondra unlocks the door and opens it.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-SHONDRA COMES OUT ONTO THE PORCH,LOOKING AROUND.
SHONDRA: Hello?Kyle?Seth?
Shondra walks to the porch railing,looking around.
Then she looks up at the sheet ghost,swinging back and forth.We catch a glimpse of what seems to blood covering the side of the ghost not facing Shondra.
SHONDRA: What the hell?
Just then a large gust of wind blows,causing the ghost to spin around.
The sheet is no longer empty,it is now covering Kyle's body.Blood from Kyle's neck covers the front of the sheet.It's hanging there by the barbed wire wrapped around Kyle's neck.
Shondra steps back,screaming,and walks right back against a lawnchair on the porch.
She turns around and sees that Brooke's body is propped up in the lawnchair,the forks of the pitchfork still sticking from her stomach.
Shondra screams and turns to see another lawnchair on the other side of the door.
This is the topper for Shondra.In this lawnchair is Seth's body,propped up.Seth's throat has been ripped open and Kyle's hay hook is stuck in his shoulder.
Shondra runs into the house.
INT. THE HOUSE-SHONDRA COMES IN,SLAMMING AND LOCKING THE DOOR.
She turns around to see Michael standing at the bottom of the stairs,watching her.
She runs into the kitchen.
Michael follows,butcher knife in hand.
INT. THE KITCHEN-SHONDRA ENTERS,RUNNING TO THE COUNTER.
She looks at the drawers on the counter and picks one,opening it.
This drawer is full of dishtowels.
SHONDRA: Shit!
Michael enters the kitchen.
Shondra turns around,pulling the towel drawer out of the counter.
She hits Michael with it,towels flying everywhere.
Michael stumbles to the side,dropping his knife.
Shondra hits him with it three more times.The third hit knocks him off his feet.
He falls back onto the table,causing it to collapse.
Shondra drops the drawer and runs to the wallphone.
She grabs the phone and turns to the chalkboard on the wall.
The numbers on the chalkboard have been wiped away with blood.
SHONDRA: Fuck!
She turns back to the phone and dials 911.
Michael sits up.
Shondra drops the phone and runs out of the room,jumping over Michael on her way.
Michael stands,grabbing his knife.
The phone dangles a foot from the floor.
VOICE: (on the phone)911 Emergency.
Michael slashes the phone cord with his knife,chopping it in half.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-MICHAEL ENTERS.
To the right of the doorway,just beside the bottom step of the stairs,is a closed closet.
As Michael passes the closet the door bursts open and Shondra comes running out screaming,holding a baseball bat.
Michael turns just in time to get the bat across the side of his head.
Shondra hits him again.And again.And again.And again.She beats him to the floor with the bat,hitting him atleast a dozen times.Then,just as she swings back to deliver the blow that the audience knows will knock Michael down again,Michael slams the butcher knife up into her stomach all the way to the handle.
Shondra gasps,blood running from her mouth.She drops the bat.
Michael rips the knife up into her stomach,slicing her open.Blood pours down his arm.
Shondra falls to the floor,dead,the knife still in her stomach.
Michael stands up.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-REX'S CAMARO PULLS INTO THE DRIVEWAY.IT SHUTS OFF AND REX GETS OUT.
REX: Live clear out in the freakin' boonies,takes almost two hours to find the place.
Rex walks back to the Camaro's trunk,unlocking it with a key.
INT. THE TRUNK-WE LOOK UP AT REX AS HE REACHES INTO THE TRUNK AND PULLS OUT A SAWED-OFF .12 GUAGE SHOTGUN.
EXT. THE CAR-NIGHT-REX SHUTS THE TRUNK AND LOCKS IT AGAIN,LAYING THE SHOTGUN ON IT.
As he does Zimmerman's cruiser pulls into the driveway,lights and sirens still on.
Rex turns around to face the cruiser as it shuts off.
Zimmerman and Jasper get out,Jasper still soaked in blood.
REX: Hello,sheriff.
ZIMMERMAN: Rex.What the hell are you doing here?
Rex answers by pulling the shotgun around from behind him and shooting Jasper in the chest.
Jasper's chest explodes and he flies back onto the cruiser's hood.
Zimmerman reaches for his gun as Rex pumps the shotgun.
The empty shell flies out and Rex fires again,blowing Zimmerman's face apart.
Zimmerman's faceless body falls to the ground.
Rex pumps the shotgun again and the second empty shell flies out.
REX: Asshole.
Rex turns and walks toward the house.(Note:Kyle is still hanging from the tree,but Brooke and Seth's bodies are gone.)
INT. THE HOUSE-MICHAEL IS WALKING UP THE STAIRS.
EXT. THE HOUSE-NIGHT-REX REACHES THE FRONT DOOR.HE OPENS IT AND WALKS IN.AS HE DOES ADAM'S CAR PULLS INTO THE DRIVEWAY BESIDE THE SHERIFF'S CRUISER. WE HEAR "I'LL BE GLAD WHEN YOU'RE DEAD YOU RASCAL YOU" BY LOUIS ARMSTRONG PLAYING ON THE RADIO.
The car shuts off and Adam and Kara get out.
Adam looks down at Jasper's body.
ADAM: Holy shit.Jasper Collins.
KARA: Steven!
Kara runs toward the house and Adam looks toward her.
ADAM: Kara,wait!
He runs after her.
Kara reaches the front door.She opens it and goes in.
INT. ADAM'S BEDROOM-MICHAEL WALKS IN,HOLDING HIS BUTCHER KNIFE.
INT. THE LIVINGROOM-KARA ENTERS.SHONDRA'S BODY ISN'T ON THE FLOOR.
KARA: Shondra?
REX: (O.S.)Hello,Miss Strode.
Kara looks to her right and gets the butt of Rex's shotgun right in her face.
She falls,unconscious.
Adam steps into the doorway.
Rex steps infront of him,pointing the shotgun at him.
REX: Adam Carpenter,I presume.
ADAM: Who are you?
REX: Rex Hall,author of THE SECRETS OF THE BOY:MICHAEL MYERS REVEALED.
ADAM: What do you want from us?
REX: The child.Where is he?
ADAM: Why do you want Steven?
Rex sighs and turns the shotgun,firing.
The TV explodes.Rex pumps the empty shell out.
REX: I don't have the time or the patience.Where is the kid?
ADAM: Go fu....
Adam is cut off by another shotgun blast.The blast hits Adam's stomach open and throws him backwards onto the porch.
REX: I'll just find the little shit myself.
Rex turns and heads upstairs.
INT. ADAM'S BEDROOM-MICHAEL WALKS TO THE BED AND RAISES HIS BUTCHER KNIFE OVER STEVEN'S SLEEPING BODY.
