Acknowledging that terrorism is a major threat to world peace and order,
Contemplating the conditions of anti-terrorist efforts already put forth by the United Nations,
Having considered the issue and difficult situation we resolve the following:
1) Calls upon the United Nations to come together and actively and peaceably seek out terrorist cells in hope of ceasing terrorist activity;
2) Encourages nations to uncover information to provide further understanding and paths of action for the United Nations;
3) Appeals to the nations already searching for terrorist that they may redouble their efforts;
4) Condemns the nations who hinder this anti-terrorist movement;
5) Further reminds terrorist organizations that they shall be sought out;
6) Determining that nations should detain terrorists for examination and so that they may be used for questioning if deemed necessary;
7) Suggests that these anti-terrorist efforts be conducted in the core terrorist nations of the Middle East and Asia Minor;
8) Realize that these efforts will assist the world-wide defeat of terrorism.
Resolution Two: Ethnic Conflict
Recognizing the threat that ethnic conflict presents in many nations,
Emphasizing the need for national peace and order,
Expressing appreciation to aid workers who have come to Sudan during past times of need providing food and medical help,
Convinced that nations should take a stand on ethnic conflict, we resolve the following:
1) Notes with regret the history of genocide in Sudan, along with all other forms of violence related to the current civil war;
2) Appreciates the global concern over the ethnic conflicts in Sudan;
3) Commends the nations that have taken a firm stand on ending ethnic conflicts in their own countries;
4) Appeals to the United Nations to send food and medical supplies to Sudan in order to ease the sufferings of the people affected by war;
5) Condemns the radical groups and rebel factions in Sudan that have found it necessary to destroy innocent lives;
6) Reiterates the vital importance of order and peace for successfully managing a country;
7) Resolves to redouble efforts in searching for troublesome rebel factions and radical groups in hopes of ending the violent struggle that plagues Sudan;
8) Expresses the belief that peace and order can be attained through hard work of the government for the people, regardless of past ethnic struggles.
Resolution Three: Regional Issue
Noting with deep concern the problem that disease and lack of proper health facilities has had on Africa,
Acknowledging the abnormally high percentages of African peoples with HIV/AIDS,
Concerned about the spread of diseases such as cholera, measles, and meningitis throughout the African population,
Recalling the assistance of the United Nations and world health organizations in attempt to help the health situations in Africa,
Considering the affect this will have on the continent of Africa and many future African generations, we resolve the following:
1) Declares that the severity of health situations such as disease and malnutrition in Africa shall be reduced;
2) Expresses its regret that so many deaths that have been caused by poor health situations in Africa and around the world;
3) Appreciates the efforts of the United Nations and UNICEF, who have sent medical help for the vaccinations of the many Sudanese refugees and peoples of Chad, as well as other parts of Africa;
4) Appeals to the United Nations to fund medical operations in Africa for the building of health centers, the providing medicines and medical supplies, as well as doctors and other medical personnel;
5) Aware of the fact that there is no cure for HIV/AIDS;
6) Expresses the belief that with enough research and time a cure might be found and used to save lives of many Africans as well others around the world;
7) Calls upon all members of the United Nations to support this effort to improve the health conditions in Africa;
8) Encourages other world powers to take a stand against illness and poor health conditions in their own countries in the hopes of ridding the world of terrible sickness and countless deaths.
