Which one? - Intel or AMD
Computers have become important pieces of our lives. Almost, there aren’t
any place and profession not to using computer at the moment. Processors
are most important components of computers which have great place of
our lives. In addition, processors are brains of computers which are
named central processing unit. Two important rival of between the processors
are Intel and AMD. But, Intel processor is more superior than AMD processor
because of its getting higher and higher data bus frequency, two processor
performance from one processor (Hyper Threading technology), high structure
of cache memory, suitable structure for promotion.
Processors are produced by Intel have more successful data bus frequency
than processors produced by AMD. System frequencies are risen more quick
in processors by produced from Intel. [4] For example, Pentium 4 processor
structure was planned which can process four data package for each beginning
rotation. Intel increased the height of system data bus speed with Quad-Pump
technology so communication speed increased between the processor and
chip set. [2] Intel increased the data bus frequency from 200MHz to
266MHz with 1925XE chip set. 266MHz, system data bus frequency was increased
to 266 x 4 = 1066MHz with Quad-Pump technology of Intel. [2]
Pentium 4 processors of Intel have Hyper Threading technology so Intel
is different from AMD with this side. Increasing to cache memory can
increase performance and attain the data very quickly but this isn’t
enough on one’s own. Therefore, apply to different method can
be needed to give support to processors. Hyper Threading technology
of Intel Pentium 4 is a product of this search. Hyper Threading at Pentium
4 is a technology which runs one processor like two different processors.
[4] Performance is increasing about thirty percent with Hyper Threading
technology. [4] Hyper Threading technology of Pentium 4 is used for
attain data very quickly. [4]
Intel raises the numbers of cache memory: L1, L2 cache memories together
with L3 cache memory. Intel increased the existing cache memory with
L3 cache memory in Pentium 4EE. So processor performance rises. [4]
Structure of Intel processor is more suitable than AMD’s for promotion.
At first, structure of Intel processor wasn’t suitable for promotion.
But now, AMD processors get out lack of harmony on promotion time with
different outside structure features and pin numbers. [5] New processors
of Intel are used tightened silicone technology in their structure.
So electron flow is becoming wider and a correct way. [5]
Positive sides of Intel processors are found with some negative sides.
For example, continuous Intel processors become in front of AMD processors
for speed. But Intel processors remain face to face with excessive heating
problem. [1] Serial of Pentium 4 Prescott are the latest generation
and highest performance of Intel processor but they have features which
exhaust power and spread heat very much. [1] In conclusion, when we
were making a processor selection, we must look at all the features
of processor.
