TECHNOLOGY OF DVD

The technology is changing continually and developing speedily. A machine which has the last technological properties and people look at with desire it can be put away few months later. So, catching to technology is difficult in this way. The firms produce a new machine everyday and DVD-ROM is one of them. CD-ROM was wonderful for people at first, but now there are DVD-ROMs with the newest properties instead of CD-ROM. DVD-ROM is more useful than CD-ROM; because of its high capacity, its better picture quality and sound quality and its high speed. What will be instead of DVD-ROM at future?
Every machine has capacity in its opinion. Every people want machine which has the best properties, before they buy it. High capacity is one of the most ideal properties for people. DVD-ROM has this property too much compared to CD-ROM .The reasons that it has these properties; traces are more near to each other. 0, 83 micrometers pits are dropped to 0, 4 micrometers in DVD-ROMs. Two pieces of the discs with double layer are affixed back to back, thus capacity is rised 17 gigabytes. The data are pressed, so the footprints of data are relation. The capacity of DVD-ROM is 4.7 gigabytes with the private laser registration methods and the capacity can be increased thanks to blue laser. DVD-ROMs can read all cds’ [3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10].
At the world where is decorated with modern technological machine, people want to benefit from this technology. The people are alive who want the best. In the past, we watched the films with few properties, but now we can watch better it with sound and picture system such as at the cinema, rich language preference, different camera’s angle, auto censor property. Provide this property, we use it DVD-ROM once again. DVD’s picture quality is too much than VHS, because it is digital .The screen’s net is increased with little pixels. Dolby Digital or DTS sound system is used on DVD, thus the sound quality is supplied. The systems with double lens are put into place on DVD-ROMs. The support of many languages is supplied [4, 11, 2 and 7].
We want to have high speed from drivers. It is possible at DVD-ROM. Because of this, DVD-ROM is appropriate. Nobody likes to wait or is waited in front of computers. People aren’t waited by DVD-ROMs with this property. Because, DVD-ROMs have high speed. DVD-ROMs can operate the all cds that can operated by CD-ROMs (Compact Disc-Read Only Memory). When the speed of 4x CD-ROM is 600 kb/sn the speed of 4x DVD-ROM is 5400 kb/sn., namely ;the speed of DVD-ROMs are 9 stiff of CD-ROMs’ . DVD-ROMs have motor which can run with 200 - 500 rpm speed [3, 1, 7, 8 and 6].
We mention about DVD-ROM’s advantages. Are there disadvantages at DVD-ROM? Of course it has. But only one disadvantage. DVD-ROM is more expensive than CD-ROM. I don’t see that a disadvantage. If you benefit from advantages of technology, you should pay much money.
Positive sides of DVDs are found with a negative side. Really, DVD-ROM has a lot of properties. Disadvantage isn’t important. According to me DVD-ROM is the best driver. If you benefit from technology, you should buy DVD-ROM. You needn’t go to the cinema from now on. The pleasure of film is very good with DVD.
