TECHNOLOGY OF LASER PRINTERS
The printers are the most output unit after the monitors.We use printers
to write the data down
on paper from the computer.There are lots of kind of printers but I
will examine two kind of
printers which are used with P.C. Laser printers are better than inkjet
printers,because laser printers
are fast,economic reliable and they make high in quality printing and
operate quietly.
Laser printers are faster than inkjet printers.The working principle
of laser printers are based on
static electric.So that they work faster.The speed of laser printers
are 4-40 PPM(pages per minute)
but the writing fast of inkjetprinters are 2-20 PPM. [1]
Laser printers are more economic than inkjet printers.Toner is used
in laser printers but ink is
used in inkjet printers and toner is cheaper than ink.The repair of
inkjet printers are more expensive
than laser printers.The most important thing is the page printing cost
of laser printers are cheaper
than inkjet printers.Because the page printing cost of laser printers
are 0,01-0,03 US$ in the black
white printers and it is 0,03-0,09 US$ in the coloured printers .But
the page printing cost of inkjet
printers are 0,02-0,05 US$ in the black-white printers and it is 0,06-0,30
US$ in the coloured
printers.Finally, the toner and laser printers life are longer. [1,2,3]
Laser printers are more reliable than inkjet printers.As I explained
before that,toner is used in laser printers and ink is used in inkjet
printers.Toner which is combined with heat becomes more permanent and
sturdier againest out impressions.Ink can scatter but toner can not
scatter. [1,2]
Laser printers make high in quality printing.The intensity of dot of
laser printers are more than inkjet printers.There are 300- 2400 dots
in an inch in the laser printers but there are 240-1200 dots in an inch
in the inkjekt printers.Output is taken such as press quality from laser
printers.Another factor which is affect quality is memory of printers.Memory
of laser printers are bigger than memory of inkjet printers. [1,4]
Laser printers operate quietly.Laser printers are printing out of strike
for this reason they operate quietly. The level of noise of laser printers
are 39-52dB(A) but the level of noise of inkjet printers are 45-55dB(A).

Due to the features I explained above,laser printers are best printers.Laser
printers are most appropriate for people who use P.C. but laser printers
are expensive and this is a disadvantage for laser printers but although
disadvantage laser printers are more economic and more longlife.
