ASUS AT TOP OF THE TABLE

We usually use compact discs for backuping or moving data. Compact discs have average 700 MB capacity. But we need more space day by day. For example most of the games have 3 or 4 compact discs. We know a new technology. Its name is DVD. DVD medias have average 4,7 GB capacity. DVD technology is developing fastly. Most of the PC hardware manufacturers produced their DVD writers. I think Asus DRW-1604P is the best DVD writer, because it has FlextraSpeed, DDSSII technologies and it is working quiet.

Asus DRW-1604P has FlextraSpeed technology. FlextraSpeed is a technology which adjusts writing speeds depending on the media. Other DVD writers have technologies like this but they aren’t working well like Asus’s. FlextraSpeed prolongs motor life and saves CPU resources [1]. FlextraSpeed prevents data loss [2].

Asus DRW-1604P has DDSSII technology. DDSSII is an anti-vibration technology. DDSSII stabilizes the pick-up head vertically and horizontally, achieving more precise tacking while reducing vibration and noise caused by high-revolution motors [3].

Asus DRW-1604P is working quiet. New computer cases have 2–3 fans. So computer cases cause noise. Quiet working is really good feature for this DVD writer. Asus DRW-1604P is really quiet while recording [4].

I investigated most of the DVD writers. Asus DRW-1604P is a bit more expensive than most of the others. But it has really good features and it is the fastest DVD writer. It has best box contest. The bulk package included burning software from Ahead (Nero Express and InCD), an IDE Cable, audio screws along with the eject pin and instructions sheet. Lastly, newbie users will find the user’s manual and the quick installation guides useful. So Asus DRW-1604P deserves that price.
