Essay #1 – Composition I
For
your first writing assignment this semester, you are to write a personal
narrative about a significant moment in your life. The essay should be 2 pages long,
double-spaced, and typed in 12 point Arial, Tahoma, or Times New Roman
font. As is true for all essays in this
course, you should use MLA format. If
you don’t already have an idea in mind, take a look at the topic suggestions on
pages 132 & 156 in The College Writer. A scratch outline is due on Monday, January
22nd, a typed rough-draft is due on Wednesday, January 24th, and the
final copy will be collected on Friday, January 26th.
