Composition II -- Hero Essay

How do you define a hero?  Who were and are your heroes?  How do the heroes who are most often touted today differ from the heroes of your childhood? Is it possible to become a hero within your lifetime?  Should movie stars and professional athletes be heroes?  Are we too drawn to media driven heroes(pop culture)?  In a 3-5 page letter (yes, I said letter), discuss the concept of and / or need for heroes.  Use your own heroes as examples.  You will also need to incorporate the use of two sources as support for your claim.

2 sources – one from the textbook and one from an outside source (book, journal article, etc.)

4-6 quotations and/or paraphrases (properly cited)
