The argumentative research essay
assignment consists of three major parts:
the annotated bibliography (50 points), the essay itself (100 points),
and the presentation (25 points). Barring
abortion and gay marriage, you have free reign in your choice of topic, but you
must notify me of your topic in advance.
The essay itself will consist of four to six typed pages in APA format
and will utilize a minimum of four sources.
A rubric for the 5-7 minute presentation will be handed out no later
than one week prior to the beginning of presentations. Important due dates are listed below.
Monday April 2nd – topic due
Friday April 6th – annotated
bibliography due
Monday April 9th – detailed
outline and works cited page due
Wednesday April 11th – rough
draft due
Friday April 13th – final copy
due & presentations begin
