(2)When you want to find the relative molecular mass of a compound, just look for the parent ion peak (which is the largest m/e).

1 sucrose is made up of 2 glucose molecules
during the reaction called condensation..1 water molecule is formed for 2 glucose molecules to combine..that's why they formulae differ slightly

There is quite a bigh difference between AS & AL Chem. You can check the 2 syllabus esdiffer a lot. There is no harm to do the AS past papers after asking me whether they are out of AL syllabus.
