| Hi! I am Brian Phipps I had been diagnosed with Leukemia. October -25-93, July 1st-97, and again on January 4, 1999. I am an Angel now, but I wanted you to know something about me... I had a Batman collection. I have collected Batman figures since I was in the hospital on October 25, 1993.. I got one of my first Batman's there. A friend of mine and my mom and dad gave it to me along with some coloring books and crayons. I was in third grade at James Madison Elementary School in Mesa. I loved to draw pictures, mostly of you know who, (Batman). And I like to color. I also like to play Nintendo 64 games. 007, James Bond and Zelda were my favorites. I have 2 brothers, Mark and Cory. Mark is 20 years old and Cory is 13 years old. I also have a dogs named Bandit, and two cats named C.J and Boots oh yes, and a bird named Pearl. (since Brian's death, he has his cat, boots and bird Pearl in heaven with him.) When I was first diagnosed with Leukemia on October 25th, 1993. I got all kinds of yucky medicine. The second day that I was in the hospital, I went to sleep, the next day, the doctors put a tube in my chest. My mom said they gave me an operation. It hurt and felt funny for a couple of days. But it soon became a part of me. I kept it there for several months. My mom and dad had to put medicine in it every day. The tube, we called it my Broviac, helped me to get medicine so the doctors and nurses would not give me anymore pokes in my arms. But I did get pokes in my legs 3 times a week for 2 weeks. And then again before my tube came out.. |
