| I fell in love with the Fiero when I first read about them in a Popular Science artical about the car and the building process. Over the years I had seen cars listed in ads, but never acted. Since my kids are grown and leaving home, I thought it was about time to get on board. Sold the mini van, and found this Fiero for sale. I started modifications the first day I had the car home. I'm a "doit" yourself guy. I always feel if I can't doit, it can't be done. Updated so far: * Temperature gauge mod to correct pegging of the gauge. * Brake cleanup. * Rust proofing and undercoating of complete car. * ECM-Laptop interface built. * Paint touch-up. * Rebuild of Voltage/Oil gauge cluster housing. (broken) * Replaced Fuel Pump. * Cal'd fuel sender. * Tint windows. In the works: * Replace TH125C transmission with 4T60 4-speed. (Transmission acquired $35 ) Planned: * Re-paint spoiler. * Build headers while replacing transmission. * Polish wheels. * Detail Engine compartment. * Modify turn signals to sequential. * Add an engine compartment light. *Custome front license holder (not attached to bumper) |
