I had plans for increasing power substantially by turbocharging the engine. The list of modificationss I had done was enormous, and there were many changes during the buildup to make the list have any sense.  The main add-on is the DRAG 2 turbo kit.  It turned out the kit made power but it was poor in quality and build.  It was also not a complete kit not was it an easy bolt-on.

To see how much more power I would gain, I had my car dynoed. These are the results after 3 runs. 92 wheel horsepower (whp) at 6400 RPM. I think (and later realized I was wrong) I should have close to 280 whp when all is done.

I had a cylinder head sent out to Dan Paramore Racing in California. Dan does excellent work and his customer service is by far the best in the business. The following pictures were taken by DPR. It shows his work on my cylinder head.

I paid someone else do the buildup for me. The following shots were taken by the mechanics that did the work. The work turned out excellent, as shown in the following pictures. The work was done by the DropShop. You may email the shop at [email protected].

When it was finished, it felt extremely strong up for the first 1000 miles even though I was just breaking in the engine. Unfortunately, that was as long as it lasted. Two oil hoses were switched by accident and it cause the engine to produce zero oil pressure. The results of this are shown below.  More than half was lost and I was close to giving it all up and forgetting I ever got into cars.
