I'm not really sure how ear cropping started, but it has been said that there is no medical reason to crop the ears on a boxer. It's for cosmetic reasons only. I'm not too sure of that. I love the natural ear look, but Paulie has cronic yeast infections in his ears. Yazzy however, has never had a problem.
The process of cutting off a portion of the ear then bandaging and taping them for weeks seems to be cruel in my opinion. They have to wear the lick collar too, how attractive, hehe!
