The story:
Ha Tow's dad just died and he left him his famous sea food restaurant, Ha Tow is a chef cook but he is still young and don't like his job.
Joyce Fa Qi is a kindergarten teacher and she is Ha Tow's stepsister, his dad and Joyce's mum had a child together so that was Joyce.
But no one knows about this but Joyce do so she went to the restaurant when she heard that Ha Tow and his uncle wanted to sell this restaurant.
Joyce forbid it and made up some excuse, she said that she will make this restaurant famous again, well Ha Tow gave her a chance to do that, Joyce is quite happy that she is working together with her stepbrother in her dad's restaurant but Ha Tow and the others who work there don't like her and they play tricks on her.
But after a while they did became friends but the restaurant was still very quiet everyday, so one of the workers helped Joyce and told her that there was this Ma You a great chef cook.
So Joyce began to look for him and she found him but Ma You is a very grumpy guy and he doesn't want to help her.
But Ma You changed his mind when he saw that Joyce was cooking some rice for her students and the restaurant had a new chef cook.
Joyce is very good to everyone especially to her stepbrother Ha Tow and his mother but Ha Tow thinks that she likes him which is not true, but when he found out the truth he was a bit mad but after a while he did called her sis, but his mother didn't know about this all she did later but she sees Joyce as her own daugther.
Then there are Gordon and Sue, Gordon is a great chef cook and Sue works in the same restaurant as he , Gordon is in love with her but Sue can't forget her last boyfriend Ma You.
And then there is Candy she just came back from her studies and her dad wants her to take the business over but Candy studied music, she loves singing but she knows that her dad won't allow her to sing so she didn't tell him about it, when he heard it he was angry and Candy walked away and she found work at Ha Tow's restaurant and they also fell in love, later he dad wants Candy to sing but she wants to take care of his business.
Ma You and Gordon were very good friends they had the same master who teached them to cook, but later their friendship changed, when their master came back they were friends again.
Ma You slowly fell in love with the nice, friendly Joyce but then he meets Sue again and it was just all a misunderstanding.
Sue dumped Gordon to be with Ma You and Joyce is sad, but their relationship is very short because Ma You can't forget about Joyce, but it's too late Joyce is travelling around China and she won't come back in 2 years and the restaurant is closed.
But Ma You won't give up and he opens the restaurant again and Joyce came back, now she was a proffesional food tester (don't know the word) and Ma You cooked a few dishes for her she was happy but walked away again.
She was standing there at the bridge infront of the restaurant and Ma You chased her and together they walked back to the restaurant hand in hand.
Best performance:
I liked Flora, Lawrence, Raymond and Miriam a lot, Miriam was very cute and she acted very good, Raymond too he was very cute in this series and I liked Flora's hair very nice.
Worst performance:
I think Ha Tow's aunt, she was still good but the others were better.
Best scene:
The scene when Ha Tow was in love with Joyce and he told everyone in the restaurant 'but Joyce said...' and then again 'but Joyce said...' and he repeated that a few times, very funny.
I also like one of the last scenes between Gordon and Sue, Gordon was now working at a little restaurant and Sue was eating there, so they chat together.
And both discovered that both changed a lot, Sue had a flower store now. So Sue and Gordon shook each other hands, 'nice to meet you' they told each other.
I think that this was a very good scene, they started all over again.
Worst scene:
Definetely the drama between Ha Tow's uncle and aunt, I didn't like that part.
Themesongs:
Yeah the song you hear in almost every episode by Miriam Yeung, a very nice song, the lyrics are good.
Everything together:
This is a great series with a great cast, you will see that Miriam can both sing and act.
Flora is good and simply adorable and so is Lawrence.
So a must see series, it's very funny and also romantic.
