Story:
A young girl named Xia Zhi Wei came to Beijing to look for her father, the emperor and then she meet Xiao Yan Zhi they become really good friends even sisters!
Xiao Yan Zhi is a very nice girl and she wants to help Zhi Wei but the emperor thinks that Xiao Yan Zhi is his daughter, which is not true of course.
Later Yong Qi the fifth son (Whu Ar Ge) of the emperor fell in love with her but so did Er Tai later he realizes that she only loved Yong Qi, but that is not really the problem the emperor still thinks that Xiao Yan Zhi is his lost daugther.
Er Kang fell in love with Zhi Wei, she is staying at his house with her maid Jin Suo.
And Er Kang, Er Tai and Yong Qi all want to help them, at the end the truth came out but the emperor forgave them and Er Tai was engaged to Sai Ya, Er Kang to Zhi Wei and Xiao Yan Zhi to Yong Qi.
In part 2 the emperor's mother came back she doesn't like Xiao Yan Zhi and Zhi Wei who were both Gege's now also Han Xiang came in the picture, she is a beautiful princess and she was forced to marry the emperor but actually she is in love with this guy Meng Dan.
Also Qing Er is new, she is the emperor's mum or Lao Fo Yee's favourite person she had a short relationship with Er Kang but it was nothing special but she still liked him a lot also Xiao Jian is new he is a guy who helps Yong Qi and co. he is actually Xiao Yan Zhi's real brother.
Xiao Yan Zhi and Zhi Wei wants to help Han Xiang who was their father's favourite wife now, he was really angry when they admitted that they helped Han Xiang escape and he wanted to chop their heads off!But they were saved on time and the story goes on and on.
Best performance:
Absolutely Vicki Zhao Wei but Alec Su Youpeng was also great to be honest I loved their chemistry together they are so cute and adorable! And then not to forget Julian Chen Zhipeng I still think that he needs more respect, he is a great actor! And I don't even need to name the one and only Zhang Tielin, he was amazing!
Worst performance:
Meng Dan he is such a wimp he can't act, sometimes I did laughed about him, sorry if I made fans angry.
Best scene:
The scene when they were all chasing the parrot so funny i really liked that scene that was in part 2, the scene when they meet ghosts (well they think that they are ghosts) the girls were all scared and the guys were so cute to them! That was also in part 2.
Another good scene is the scene when they all go back to the palace together facing the emperor.
Worst scene:
The scene when Meng Dan is going mad he is hitting everything with his sword yelling 'I want to die!' I mean he has a sword in his hand he can kill himself, a bad scene but i do laughed about it.
That was in part 2.
Theme songs:
I love them this series has many theme songs some sung by Vicki Zhao like 'There's a girl',
'I can't part with you', 'Since I have you' and some sung by Zhou Jie and Ruby Lin 'In dreams', 'You are the wind i am the sand' and some more sung by other artist very nice songs cool to sing along with.
The I-don't-get-it part:
Yeah what does that Huang Hou wants? Ok she did this all for her son but still it's still a bit
unbelievable why don't she just enjoy her life? Hey... I almost forgot... Liu Hong has no man! that is a bit unfair isn't it?
Cute guys?:
Well I can't really say that they look good in this series but I do love Alec as Yong Qi, very cute
about the others of course Zhang Tielin as the emperor such a nice person.
Zhou Jie can also be cute and also Liu Qing and Xiao Jian too! and that little kid, 12 Ar Ge, what a cutie!
Everything together:
Okay, this series is really one of the best series I've ever seen! It's really the best! some people said that Qiong Yao lost her inspiration in part 2 but I thought that it was okay.
It is a very enjoyable series!
Should I rent it?:
Yes, yes and yes! I do think that almost every Asian in this world must have seen this series it has been dubbed into a lot of languages but if you still don't know what it is, go and rent it, you won't regret it!
