VOLVO UPDATE:

My 740 is now ~ 210k miles, and continues to run strong. I had to do some electrical work, as well as replace the O2 sensor recently, to correct a chronic stall after being placed in gear. Other then that it's been several thousand problem free miles. I recieved and installed my INTRAX lowering/sport springs. I will post some pictures soon. I plan on getting some 18x7" Niche Shock rims, although I'm having some difficulty finding any 18"s in a 5-lug pattern, seeing as how the 5 lugs were discontinued. In the meantime I'm getting some new clear/mutli colored tailights.
I also custom painted my interior trim and tail lights, since there are no aftermarket products for my '86. Pics are at the 740 GLE section of this page.

Previous Updates:

Congratulations to my Volvo
My Volvo rolled over 200,000 miles on the way home from buying another Volvo.

Tues. May 30th, We welcomed another Volvo into the family. It's a 1993 960 sedan, fully loaded! 5.75L Inline 6 cyl. with over 200hp stock. I'll bring up some nice pictures soon.

Within the first 2 hours of local release I had purchased and installed Pioneer's new "Premier DEH-P720R." This deck has exceptionally clear and crisp display's with it's OEL screen. The EEQ, as well as the customizable EQ settings, is a very productive option. It also has the DFS alarm, which although claimed by some to be a useless option, you can set it to go off in 0,5,15,20,30, or 60 seconds...It then blasts a mega-decibal, high-pitched frequency siren out of the car's speakers, which you can change the volume of as well...I also have it running to an auxilary siren located outside the car. You can add other relays, to have your parking lights go off, as well as your horn, and other options such as motion sensors as do seperate alarm units.
Im having my dash and center console reconstructed -partially out of Lexon- so that I can even further customize the appearance, as well as the performance of my components.

I installed Sonys new Xplod 4000X cd reciever deck. It's got a 2-color flip-down, detachable faceplate, 50x4, F/R preamp outputs, SSIR-EXA tuner, and a bunch of tight "screen savers." I also got Sonys Xplod 1330 5 1/4" 3-ways. These are some nice door speakers for the price. If you get them w/ a high powered deck, such as the 4000X, I'd recommend getting some bass blockers. The mids and highs are unbearably crisp and clear, but if you listen to anything with "pumping" bass they will bottom out. The store displays at which I tested them were in a sealed enclosure, so I was unaware of their "flaw," but other then that they are nice.

I sold my JL's, and completed my four Rockford Fosgate XLC 12"s and custom box package. Using Rockford Fosgate's 300a^2 amp(s) the subs were running at approximately 146 SPL before any system tweeking was accomplished. With "Team GoHo Auto Audio" as well as several other car clubs, I plan on doing another total stereo overhaul, so stay tuned.

I'm selling my JL subs and I am im the midst of preparing my box for 4 12" Rockford Fosgate XLC subs! You can see in the one picture on the stereo page the large back panel, that places the box at an angle, along with the side panels for support. That large back panel is where I will put my amp(s)

OK...I've just gotten rid of my Kenwood subs, and gotten 2 JLaudio W0 12" in a ported box w/ some polyfoam!!! My back door has near rattled itself off, and my roof is flexin' just the same...They're nice

I have now sold my Clarion 12", along with my Alpine Flex2 amp to my friend, and I have already purchased my new subs! I've put them in my Competition Bandpass Pro-Bend by R/T, and I've got my Kicker ZR120 amp - (as you can see in the stereo pictures) - I have wav files of it literally rattling my house, and you can hear the neighbors' house rattling as well...lol!!! so If you are contemplating on buying Kenwood's KFC-W3002 subwoofer, I recommend them, and you can hear them if you'd like...just email me. I already got one of my "tropical Blue" neon lights mounted, so that I can have it up front to the left of Sony CDX-4180 cd player during the day, where I'm about to put the other neon on the right side, and I can move it(them) down by my feet on the inner kick-panel @ night. I also have blue mood lights in my ceiling light fixture, as well as in my glove compartment! Check out the pics...
