Janne Niinimaa
How can this Finnish player have the face of an angel, but be such a
great, big, hard-hitting defenseman? Not only is he a great defenseman,
but in the 1997 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Janne Niinimaa showed he can
definitely play "two-way hockey,"
by making and assisting on some great turn-around goals.
Janne plays a tough, physical game asa well as
lightnng fast attacks. During the 1997 Stanley cup playoff round
with the New York Rangers, Janne Niinimaa, along with his fellow
rookie, Dainius Zubrus, were dubbed by the New York Times as
"the Baby-Faced Assassins."
