| i luv, onli b'cuz God luved me first You ask, " So, I will go to hell just because I don't believe in Jesus Christ?" To that, I will say this. "No, you won't go to hell just because you don't believe in Jesus Christ. But because you have trangressed from The Law. The Law is God's Law, his Ten Commandments. That is the primarily reason. And yes, not believing in Jesus is also a part of it. Look at it this way. Say you jump out of an airplane without a parachute. Is it because you have no parachute that you fall to the ground? No. It's because you have trangressed from the Law of Gravity that you don't stay aloaf, but fall to the ground. And yes, the parachute IS a part of it. But you see, it is primarily because you have trangressed from the Law of Gravity. In the same way, it is because you have trangressed from God's Law that you go to hell primarily. And Jesus is a part of it as well. You also ask and say, "People created God. It's just all what they made up themselves. When people die, that is it. There nothing more to it than that." And to that, I will say this. "If there is a building, there was a builder of that building. If there is a pyramid, there was a builder of that pyramid. If there is a hotel, there was a builder of that hotel. If there is a chair, there was a maker of that chair. If there is man, there was a maker of that man. Do I not make sense? How can something be there without having a maker or a builder of it? Can you name me anything in the world that you can say is there, but was no builder of? Nothing can exist if there there was no maker or creator of it. Likewise, God is our creator, the Maker. You say, that you don't believe in the Bible or the Jesus, or God? Well, that is okay. Let's not think about that right now. Let's just look at the Ten Commandments. 1) You shall have no other gods before the Lord your God. 2) You shall not make for yourself an idol in any shape or form. Don't engage in idolatry. 3) You shall not use God's name in vain. You shall not use it in vain to express an feeling of cussing and dismay. 4) Remember the Sabbath day. Keep this day for the Lord your God, to set this day aside for God, to honor him, thank him, to praise him. 5) Honor your father and your mother. 6) You shall not murder 7) You shall not commit adultery 8) You shall not steal 9) You shall not lie 10) You shall not covet. You shall not want something that someone else has. These are God's Law. These are The 10 Commandments. Have you followed them? Are you innocent of guilt from all of these commandments? No. We are all guitly of transgressing from these 10 commandments. We are all sinners. We have all sinned. And we are going to face God on Judgment Day. And as we stand in front of God on Judgment Day, we are going to be convicted guilty and sinful. And we are going to be punished and going to have to be condemned. However, there is good news. We are saved from this guilt and sin before God because of Jesus Christ. He died for us. Instead of us paying for our own sins and receiving punishment, Jesus took the punishment for us. That is what it means to say that Jesus Died For Our Sins. He paid for the punishment that we should be receiving for our sins. And because of that, we are able to join God, and we are able to be forgiven because our punishment has been paid for. It's just a free gift. It's God's mercy. We didn't necessarily do anything to deserve it. He did it because God Loves us that much, that he just wanted to do it for us. And we love God becuase he loved us first in this way. But then, you may ask, "If God is such a good God, why is he punishing us in the first place? Isn't he a good and loving God?" To that, I will say this. Yes, you're right. Because he is such a good and perfect God, he has that much reason to punish us for the transgressions we have committed. God is good, but against him, we have committed such sins. We are thus guilty of having done such wrong. So since he is so good, he should have more of a reason to convict us of our sins, shoudln't he? But the thing is, even though we are thus convincted and thus sinners, we are still accepted into his kingdom because our sins have already been paid for. It's a free ticket. And it's all due to Jesus Christ's death on the cross, for what we should have been suffering for. You know, our hearts are seared. Have you watched the cooking channel? Seared is like when you get an uncooked piece of meat. You throw it into the frying pan in high heat, leave it for just a while, then turn it quickly to the other side and leave it for just a while again. Then you take it right off. The meat will be cooked on both sides. But if you get a knife and slice it right down the middle, the meat will still be tender and soft. That is how our hearts are, practically. They are hardened on the outside by our sins and this world. But if you get right to the center of it, it is still soft. Considering The 10 Commandments. Really consider it, have you done nothing wrong against it? Most likely not. The Law exposes our sins. And God's word speaks directly to the center of our hearts, where it is soft and tender. |
