Add some noise to make things look dirty. your alien(?) in the barn scene looks like he is floating and the scene needs some trees or shrubs to fill up some space. (unless it's supposed to be kansas haha). The house looks cartoony because of the way the walls flare up. Also work on the textures because they look like somthing that can be done in Photoshop in like two secs. Your image of the mother ship is too close I couldn't tell what I was looking at. Againg dirty up the texture. And I agree with other peoples comments. Your buttons are too dark and too small I almost didn't see them. jeff Waddell ----- Original Message ----- From: Pat Lichty To: 3DSMAX@engram.net Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2000 1:48 PM Subject: RE: portfolio critique My thought on this is that I see so many people using FLash for no real reason except the 'cool' factor. That, unfortunately, is not enough. You have to have a reason why the content requires Flash. Lose the intro. I like the work, but don't like the site. Not tight enough on teh graphic design side; there are a number of tabs that are too hard to read, and is the whole 'graveyard feel' the professional image you wnat ot place on the desk of a CEO? I wouldn't. When I design a website, I imagine that ANYONE could see it, even someone like Mok or Spielberg. Stranger things could happen, and when that happens, you've got ONE chance. Make it count.
