Date: Thursday, March 16, 2000 12:41 PM There is a really good free plugin out there for Max 2.x and 3 called "Polychop" by a guy named Stan Melax. In my opinion it's functionality is better than Multi-Res, and better yet it's free! It preserves UV coordinates, and vertice colors. Indispensable for LOD's. Here's the link... http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~melax/polychop/plugin/ T Goodwin wrote: > Has anyone tried the digimation Multires plugin? > > Is it a good optimiser? or does it still throw out odd artifacts? > I looked at the Rational reducer demo and was impressed with its polygon > structuring(if not the price).
