These aren't horror stories, these are horror titles. You need to elaborate.
We've had nothing but success with our line of HP Scanners.

We have a series of HP ScanJet 6200C's (SCSI, 1200dpi) -- they're fabulous
scanners -- fast and accurate. They topped nearly every scanner comparison
chart at the time we were purchasing (PC Review, PC Computing, etc...)

The 6200c was PC Computing's Editor's Choice, "Its combination of ease of
use, power, and superior scan quality at an affordable price make it our
Editors' Choice for business users."

As well, PC Computing, PC-Review, and Byte all chose this scanner as a
hardware product of the year winner.
