I'm involved with a project that is using flash to deliver content in the form of games for girls. It's called The Adventures of Josie True, www.josietrue.com, and we intend to distribute this game for free on the web to schools across the country. We are a group of college students led by Mary Flanagan. It is hard work but we recently got a grant from the National Science Foundation (I will now pause for the customary gasps of incredulity as you ponder the idea that a bunch of dudes in the humanities got a grant from the NSF). I myself designed the website, another guy maintains it. Our project is a little uneven right now, but we are working to make everything we have the level of quality it needs to be - trying to cull a game design group from the student population can be hard, but I am lucky to be working with such a good bunch of kids. I myself am in the middle of working on two games involving fractions for the game which use chili as a metaphor. If you are further interested, check out my own personal observations on game design in flash http://www.glubco.com/zach/chiligame/ We're very proud of the work we are doing, I hope you all like it. I also did this thing in flash for my animation class. it's here: http://www.glubco.com/zach/interface/ "Bell, Ross" wrote: > I watched George Liquor episode "Babysitting the Idiot" and it was > great.
