We tested with MAYA. It kicked the wildcats ass. No kidding, out 3k home built kicked the ass of an 11000 intergraph. It played every frame of a bit we made, smooth, workable for animation tweaking. The intergraph skipped about 6-8 frames out of 40. Under straight rendering, in order to test non-display card speed, the intergraph rendered a bit in 30 minutes and the home built rendered in 33 minutes. A perfect scaling for the cpu clockspeed. The big advantage (touted) of the Intergraph's motherboard chipset was nil. I have my very own GMX210 on the shelf (delivered today) waiting for the rest of my new machine as a result. I was thinking ELSA GloriaII as well, but they never wrote back about Athalon drivers, so screw them, 3D Labs makes vastly superior drivers to ELSA anyway. Thirdly, with both MAX and MAYA dual monitors is going to be very sweet, as having open many floating windows is key to faster working. I decided it was worth the extra money hands down. bayard Mike Dudley wrote: > Hi Everybody, > > Has anyone out there had any hands on with the GMX210 yet?
