John Gaeta, from Manex VFX, was the VFX Supervisor for the film.

The technique is called "Flow-Mo", and was developed by
Manex VFX for the Matrix. Dubbed "bullet-time".
(loosely based on ANOTHER type of shot used in the Gap commercials)
